He can do what he wants in NYC, but the rest of us out here in America will either continue working or will be going back to work very soon.
We don’t have a choice. Epidemiologists say about 60-80% of us is going to become infected by this virus at some point in the coming years.
So we are going to have this virus spreading for quite some time. And the chances are high most of us will get it. All “flattening the curve” does is try to make it so that we all don’t get sick at the same time.
We can’t stay shut down for two years when we hopefully have a vaccine. We won’t have any economy left.

If whatever redneck hole you came from was shut down would anybody noticed except the decrease in marriages between cousins?
If we shut down all of America for New York City, who will manufacture the food to feed New York City. They would starve without the fly over country.
Who would deliver the food?
Where would money come from to support the fight against the Virus in New York City.
Our country did not shut down for WWII or any war. This is a war.
If Deblasio wants a shut down he needs to shut down all of New York City with all exits block just like Wuhan.
If the USA shuts down we weaken out country, there are other countries like China out there waiting for this.
And Zita, H1N1, Bird flu, Sars, plain influenza for which we have vaccines, Ebola, E. Coli, etc.
More sick, more hospitalizations, more deaths. Thousands in the winter of 2017.
No.panic, no shut downs, no quarantined, etc.

If people die at the rate they will if the health care system crashes, I don’t see much hope of having an economy left either.
