Well being that the Mayor is an open border sanctuary city nut case as well as the Governor, it would be interesting to know how many Chinese from Wuhan have been swarming in since last year

NYC used to have daily direct flights from Wuhan.

Thankfully I do not live there and have no enthusiasm for visiting. Give me rural anywhere.

That figures, and last year DeBlasio was encouraging them by announcing free health care for illegals and then Cuomo now giving them drivers licenses.

36% of New York City's population is foreign born.

Houston, I think we have found the cause of NYC's lack of concern about the Constitution.

More than that, we have found why the whole state is broke; many of these foreigners are “takers”, not “makers”.

That is why the city gubmint insists on providing free meals why the schools are closed...

This all misses the biggest point about disease transmission in NYC:
Filthy dirty, crazy, people living on top of each other.

Imagine the disgusting San Francisco poopers allover town.
Nasty filth all over every surface you come in contact with.
All kinds of contagious, virulent, deadly shiite . . . everywhere.
Why do all the Groovy Urban folks wear black?
It hides the dirty grimey filth they rub against.

Oh yeah, don’t forget he INSANE, homeless urchins coughing, spitting slashing, punching, attacking everything they see.

And that’s the stuff OUTSIDE the body.

Add in STD’s, TB, HIV, drugs, out of control body fluid exchanges of any and all sorts . . .

ChComFlu is just another pile of smegma to avoid.

I’ve been saying for the last week that the situation in NYC is not hard to figure out. The Asian population is significant, especially those of Chinese and S. Korean descent.

IIRC Wuhan is a city of about 11 million. That makes it an important city. There are at least a half dozen US cities who had daily non stop flights from Shanghai,Beijing and Hong Kong until a few weeks ago. It's certainly possible that some people started their journey in Wuhan, connected in Shanghai,Beijing or Hong Kong and then flew to San Francisco,LA,Chicago,New York,Boston,Seattle, etc.

Or Vancouver for that matter...I've read that rich Chinese citizens are responsible for Vancouver's real estate boom.

It isn’t through poop you can get the virus, fortunately for the homeless poopers. It is from virus laden droplets from the mouth or the nostrils that are spewed into the air from a cough, a sneeze or saliva (during conversation). The infection should be hitting the homeless population hard because of their squalid hygiene. Much like the squalid conditions of the Wuhan Wet Market hit the world populations with a virus.

Correct on all counts. SF, LA, and NYC had direct flights from Wuhan. And I would bet that Vancouver with the third largest Chinatown inNorth America had flights as well.

We know that the virus was widespread in Wuhan by the middle of December or maybe even earlier. We didn’t cut off flights from Wuhan until January 31. I have no doubt that the virus has been here since December.

1 death every 9.1 minutes, and in 2015 the NYT reported less, that each year around 50,000 people die in New York,

Trust, but verify. With the NYTs definitely verify.

The above stat that says a birth every 4.4 minutes and death every 9.1 minutes immediately did not compute for me to 50,000 deaths per year because I knew NYC has about 215,000 birth a year. The State of NY and the City of NY both make it excruciating difficult to find death data. The most recent I could find was for 2008 to 2016. The actual total is double you number.

Bronx: 9705
Kings: 15978
New York: 53891
Queens: 14528
Richmond: 3715
Total: 97817

Although the reporter may consider the outer boroughs not to be a part of NYC.

Thanks for checking, while even about 7 deaths every 63 minutes provides some perspective.
