The big power company executives had a teleconference with Trump about ten days ago where they flatly told him there will be rolling blackouts nationwide this summer.

Where did you see/hear that?

Do you have a link for that info? Were you in on the teleconference?

Some Good News for early detection—

Those with loss of smell/taste could be asymptomatic carriers

While more research is needed to determine exactly how common it is to experience loss of smell and taste, Hopkins notes that most people with those symptoms had few others, meaning they could be unknowingly passing COVID-19 on. “There is potential that if any adult with anosmia but no other symptoms was asked to self isolate for seven days, in addition to the current symptom criteria used to trigger quarantine, we might be able to reduce the number of otherwise asymptomatic individuals who continue to act as vectors,” Hopkins writes in the paper. “It will also be an important trigger for healthcare personnel to employ full PPE [personal protective equipment]...”

Why is it fake news?

Do you have a link/source proving this is fake? From DP sanitizing sources?

Wow. We had about a quarter acre garden. That kept us somewhat busy in the growing months. Nothing like you all though. I do remember some steaming hot days in the kitchen.

We also had chickens. Butchering day was not my favorite. My parents always put me on the feather plucking station. I didn’t mind taking care of the hens the rest of the time, though. They were entertaining.

China's healthcare system has already collapsed. They've stopped testing save to confirm CV in patients reporting to hospitals. Elderly victims are being abandoned save, in places where the central government's supervision is shaky, they and other ill elderly folk are being shot by local authorities for being ill, powerless and expendable. Something like the latter is the traditional Chinese government solution to epidemics. This is not a good time to be old in China.

One of my sources says that China's medical system is now providing only minor care to CV victims, other than the elderly who get none.

Some interesting stories will come out of China when this is over. It depends on whether Xi lives that long - his successor may try to blame everything on him.

So much more healthy for all of the family. Now that we are retired, we do a lot of that too. We have about 25 dwarf trees and berry bushes for fruit. They are just now starting to really have some production.

Hubby has put in a new garden patch every summer since 2010. So we now have at least 1000 sq. ft. We continue to put in edible perennials for when we get older and slow down.

We are well blessed with native Black Walnut trees, Persimmon Trees, elderberry, black berry and dew berry bushes which were just on the property when we bought it.

Hubby is planning on building a root cellar this summer. I do a lot of canning and dehydrating. I freeze some stuff-mostly when I have too much to handle at once. Then later I do something with it. For example Wash off tomatoes and the them dry. Put into a bag and freeze. Later make tomato sauce or salsa.

“The big power company executives had a teleconference with Trump about ten days ago where they flatly told him there will be rolling blackouts nationwide this summer.”

Did they say what the cause would be? I expect blackouts later on, as equipment breaks down (with no spare parts) and we try to re-industrialize as we come out of the collapse. But that will be at least a year out.

I have already stated that I am in agreeance with President Trump's call for people tp pitch in and limit your activity out of the home to only those trips which are absolutely necessary, and I also have no issues with Governors edicts restricting movement for all things unnecessary and to stay in place for the period of time they call for. I also agree with President Ttrump that the protocols Dr. Fauci demands, need be relaxed. We need action and there is strong evidence being presented to support using the drugs that appear to have positive affects upon this virus. We cannot have the economy totally tank, for that has the likelihood of creating an even bigger disaster.

Listen my wife is on the front lines as she works at Walmart. So she is offered even less protection than healthcare providers have at their disposal. So don't think I take this virus lightly. We are all screwed if our stores can no longer remain open.

That’s def next level. So you had fresh eggs too? I don’t think I’ve ever had fresh eggs, but have always wanted to try them.

Yea, feather plucking doesn’t sound like much fun at all. !

Post a link, to back up what these ‘big utility executives’ told POTUS, or stop posting that.

Not 50 years ago. 20 at the outside, and as little as ten if we’re lucky.

My friends in Guangxi have seen people forcibly quarantined.

My in laws go thru temperature checks many times each day - when their actual test has a 48% false negative rate, I guess temp scans work? I know we want more accuracy.

Very nice! You’ve got a great assortment. Asparagus is a good perineal vegi if you haven’t planted it yet.

My mom discovered freezing tomatoes later in the game. That is a big game changer as they taste perfect and it’s so much easier.
(After my dad passed, my brother kept the tomatoes growing). Summer without home grown tomatoes is not complete.

Ha! So, you become a rude and crude person when you can’t provide a link or source.

Got it.
