This is not the sign of a leader. People have been touting Cuomo as a replacement to Biden. I don’t think that will happen.

An example:

“The rate of the coronavirus’ spread through New York state is accelerating like a “bullet train”

and:

“We’re not slowing it, and it is accelerating on its own”

Do the majority of New Yorkers even know or care what is a bullet train?

And of course it is accelerating on its own vs... not on its own?

Words mean things.

His hyperbole is a sign of poor leadership in this situation. He has by his own actions shutdown New York. He has asked people to comply with his requests, which the majority are? doing. He says for people not to panic.

And then he rolls out the hyperbole. Which will cause more people to panic.

State the facts. Stick to the facts. Provide reassurance to people. Drop the hyperbole.

Gavin Newsome is the new Democrat. Not Cuomo.

I found this also.

337 lbs of Potatoes! NO digging, NO watering, and VERY LITTLE work!

I have friends that told me they do something similar. They went and got free mulch from the town, laid the potatoes on the soil, covered them with a thick layer of mulch, and when harvesting, just pull the plants up nice and clean.

If Greta’s dad doesn’t survive, then we won’t have to deal with Greta anymore, as she’s his mouthpiece.

Scallions are easy to grow and if you let them overwinter, like they do in NY, they continue growing in the spring and the bulbs actually divide.

I found that each single plant last year is now 3-4 bulbs together. And good flavor.

I saw a red eye person who was sick in my last trip to the grocery store. Over a month ago. Very distinct kind of look. And yes it was weird coloration. Not the normal bloodshot eyes. Have no idea if that person had it, but the forehead was also sweaty.

Very interesting. I had a day like that a few weeks ago, shortly before I came down with a very short-lived fever (just about 3-4 hours), and a really bad cough that lasted over 2 weeks. The fever and cough started on Feb 29. Neither my doctor nor I thought it was COVID-19 because there had been no patients in my state yet. We gave no thought to the possibility that I may have been one of the first. By the time I got better, both she and I were no longer 100% sure it wasn't COVID-19. But I'm OK now.

Trump needs to call her out publicly, by name, in the daily briefing and demand a bill that has nothing in it that is not directly COVID-19 related.

I remember that. I thought it was possible, however I wanted to see further confirmation. ACE2 skin expression lends credence to the possibility.

I suppose people don't want these facts crashing into an incoherent narrative.

Yes. we had fresh eggs. We kept quite a few hens and one rooster over the wintertime and it was my job to tend them. Every morning before school I lugged 5 gallon buckets of hot water to the far corner of our 5 acre lot to put in their frozen water trough. I also broke up the ice on the pond so the ducks could swim. Occasionally, I’d see them swim around under the ice and then come back out through the hole I’d made.

Exactly. I’ve been on this thread since the beginning. I prepped the paper products in January. I did not hoard it but we still have 2 packages from Sam’s Club so we should be good for at least a month.

I agree!

I thought that’s what he would’ve done, yesterday.

It’s time to expose these hacks.

Unfortunately during his rant donations were coming in at a fair clip. Expect a few more. Make it rain Steve. Lol.

(Btw I did not inherit my dads green thumb)

Mine is green, but my interests are too varied to devote the time or energy to the scale of production that we maintained when I was a kid. We had 3 generations involved in that. I keep a small container garden that I am expanding this season out of necessity. My kids are showing an interest in that and I am encouraging them.

“They probably believe God will protect them from their own stupidity.”

Either that, or some Leftist is advising them (Liberty University).

Grocery stores musto do temp checks on everyone entering ... Yes, there will be false positives but this one act keeps other shoppers safe - and keep their employees alive.

As far as shoppers turned away - they get offered a personal shopper to pick up their list - and curb service to deliver groceries to their car. Not perfect but it'll work - and stop government from stepping in with a harsher solution.

I'm NOT thrilled picking up a head of lettuce only to wonder how many hands have picked up before me. Stay safe.
