I believe they start counting daily numbers from Greenwich Mean Time (several hours ahead of U.S. time zones).

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) Eli Lilly and Co. said Sunday it will begin on Monday to offer Indianapolis health care workers drive-through testing for the virus that causes COVID-19.
That is FEMZ administrator Peter Gaynor
Got it—ah—he is going to be working very very hard for the next month....
I continue to think this was a bio attack. Italy was the test. And they came in though NYC...we have what 400 people sick in Houston. and 4000 in NYC.. we are not that much smaller we are the 4th largest, just everyone forgets about us.

The official flu R0 is 1.3. I imagine that is an average over all the strains.
The latest number I have heard for CCP-19 is 2.4, but estimates have been all over the place, from 2 to 6. Your post is the first I have seen suggesting it might be as low as 1.7.
To fight the Chinese virus.
Trump slammed that.
I’m beginning to think so as well.
We either seriously damage the economy with quarantines.
Or we ‘power through this’ and take out the insurance industry and the derivative risk that underwrites it.
Here in Washington state only one person died today.
The percent who tested positive has dropped to six percent. It had been running at seven percent for weeks.
Honeywell went through my thoughts this morning. Glad to see them on the list.
I think the USA is in big trouble
here in IL we have a “shelter in place” and all non-essential business are closed.
The problem is most people are still working because the federal code of what an “essential” business is so broad
for example there is a factory here that makes laffy taffy and other candy and since they are “food “ they are staying open
The huge Caterpillar plants are staying open because they make mining and earthmoving equipment..even though orders are crashing and they have lots of inventory building up....many of these same workers forced to work the next 14 days will be laid off soon anyway..so why not shut down now
Walmart is packed here...wall to wall people....but many aren’t buying food but are just bored with the malls closed and want something to do so they look around at TV’s and other non-food stuff
Super news!
Sounds like the early restrictions have paid off.
And they’re probably using the antivirals, particularly the one Trump has touted.
Great great news!
