Get an ultra violet light. Thatll kill most little bugs.
Does UPS get to deliver during those times. I still need to ship something
Wouldn’t heating the food kill the virus, or is hot food still a temperature too low to do it?
I'm actually working at home full time now, due to the precautions put in place for the virus. We have about 200 people working just on the Electronic Medical Record system, and most of us are doing stuff for COVID-19. There is also a command center operating preparing everything, including testing tents, training folks, etc. I'm just one in a large group of IT folks who are making changes to the system to account for this. This was a pretty stressful week for all of us, and it's all hands on deck. COVID-19 trumps everything. So I think we're as well prepared as we can be at this point, but that doesn't mean there's not more to do, or that we won't be overwhelmed when the exponential increase in numbers occurs in a few days. Let's hope and pray. My daughter is a nurse in the Pediatric ICU in the same hospital. I worry about her. But she's doing her job and being faithful to her calling. I'm proud of her.
No kidding. I wish I was on one. With just a couple of folks on it.
Your picture’s broken.
It was, and I'm working at home now. Right outside my window is our Magnolia tree, at about 40% bloom. It's gorgeous.

“I have an old White sewing machine around here somewhere.”
I don’t know much about the White brand, but I have several Singers from the mid 50’s. 401a is the model I know the best. My mom always sewed on one when I was a kid and I’ve found several of them at thrift shops for my kids. They almost always work, even if they are dusty and need some lubricant.
I insist that my brood all know at least the basics and have their own machines, both sons and daughter. You never know when you’ll need to mend a ripped duffel bag or create a carry case for your new whatever. And then there are all of the numerous upholstery projects I have completed all over the house. It is very liberating to know you can do that for yourself.
And it is not that hard to learn. It just takes time, which we now evidently have, and patience. Sewing can be very relaxing, if you have the right mindset about it.
Wow, that really is a great site!
Thanks!
Time for people to plan there escape from urban FL .
The Governor is a joke.
That might be the only way to stop the spread
“Does UPS get to deliver during those times. I still need to ship something”
Yes, and as long as the UPS truck is not hijacked by Interstate pirates, your package should eventually arrive.
It was a beautiful day today wasnt it?
Yes, it was. It rained all day with a little gentle thunder. My new plantings outside were soaking it up. Rain or shine, it doesn’t matter. Springtime is a new beginning.
Wow.
Is the dailymail site easing back on ads and pop ups? I sure hope so!
Question.
Is there an error in your logic because of the lack of testing? Isn’t the increase in numbers a direct result in the increase in testing verifying what is in the population? In other words, could the doubling you are seeing have already happened?
I thought the experts are saying we need to see the results later next week to see the actual rate of doubling.
I use Ublock which still works on their site...otherwise..unreadable
Ugh....sad, but true.
Even the test results next week will not give you the answer you seek for many reasons including:
—There is a shortage of lab supplies in many states—that sets an upper bound on testing
—The disease has an average latency period of about two weeks, which means that someone on spring break in Florida (for example) will not show symptoms for two weeks, and if they get really sick may not seek medical help for several days after that.
Good data on this disease will be amazingly elusive for a long time...
