Technically, what he is saying is true. DHS is not planning it, the Task Force is.
And it’s not a “national” lock down, it’s a national order to shelter in place, except for the essential forays we are familiar with, and the addition of US Army and National Guard setting up safe spaces around and inside of hot zones and main travel routes.
Never been done, here, right?

We need a full national shut down by Monday .
Have the National guard shut down all traffic out of NYC metro and Seattle .

The BIG cities in China seem to be doing better. Still not much of a night life—it drops like a rock at 6pm and stays down.
In the US the traffic is still higher than zero, but it’s way off the peaks. It still needs to drop quite a bit to meet China.
That’s pretty amazing . You’re right there on the front lines. How prepared fo you think they will be? I’m sure every bit is a help. Especially getting set up in advance instead of waiting til they are under water.
