I'm actually working at home full time now, due to the precautions put in place for the virus. We have about 200 people working just on the Electronic Medical Record system, and most of us are doing stuff for COVID-19. There is also a command center operating preparing everything, including testing tents, training folks, etc. I'm just one in a large group of IT folks who are making changes to the system to account for this. This was a pretty stressful week for all of us, and it's all hands on deck. COVID-19 trumps everything. So I think we're as well prepared as we can be at this point, but that doesn't mean there's not more to do, or that we won't be overwhelmed when the exponential increase in numbers occurs in a few days. Let's hope and pray. My daughter is a nurse in the Pediatric ICU in the same hospital. I worry about her. But she's doing her job and being faithful to her calling. I'm proud of her.
