Update on west Virginia:
Now at eight positives. I don’t think pending cases are reported so IF and that is a big IF the private lab and hospitals got their testing going in a few days the numbers should really do the bunny hop hop hop.

Honestly, I doubt they know. Just had a confirmed case in the county, and we have some plans in place, but honestly no one has a plan to survive destroying all economic activity.
Irony is I got a head hunter calling me to do biohazard testing for 8 months. That set all sorts of alarm bells off.
Would be a massive pay cut, but if they are reaching out to people in my position someone is seeing data we are not.

I spent most of the afternoon giving inpatient nurses the security they need in the Electronic Medical Record system to do Coronavirus testing in those tents. They’re being set up in other places, too. We’re expecting to use personnel from lots of places in the hospitals that have ramped down to supplement personnel in the ED, ICU, and other inpatient floors.

Probably the greater concern, rather than the county telling you to stop production and go home, is that as soon as one employee gets sick, when word of that gets around, no one will come in, anyway.
I’m starting to think that FDR had his WarBros right through Dec. 6, 1941 - people who said things like (despite Germany and Japan on the march with fully modernized militaries):
1: How many Americans has Hitler killed?
2: How many Americans has Japan killed?
3: How many Americans were killed in WW1, the Civil War, etc?
4: No need to prepare for war - if we ignore the rest of the world, why, they rest of the world will ignore us!

Agree. I'm just saying for that particular hospital request you have to pick up the supplies locally; you can't use your own supplies. Seamstresses across the country can't do that. If a request is made local to me I'll start sewing masks.

They are redirecting for all kinds of jobs. My son who does mold and asbestos remediation is being called on to set up isolation, negative air pressure for Covid19 patients. It really feels like a wartime effort.

Well, hopefully they’ll only shut down your county rather than the entire state, so you’ll have a shot at making money in another county that doesn’t ban workers from your county.
When adrift in the sea at night, people will grab onto any piece of flotsam they can find. The “serious or critical” statistic is worthless, as most states and counties are not providing that information. You would think the deaths outnumbering the “serious or critical” 4:1 might be a clue. Or maybe that the number, 64, hasn’t changed in days despite many deaths. When hospitals and ICU’s are screaming for help because every bed and ventilator is used, I’m sure they will scream “fake news” because some website says “only 64 are serious”. I guess the “mild cases” must be causing all the fatalities.
