I’m starting to think that FDR had his WarBros right through Dec. 6, 1941 - people who said things like (despite Germany and Japan on the march with fully modernized militaries):
1: How many Americans has Hitler killed?
2: How many Americans has Japan killed?
3: How many Americans were killed in WW1, the Civil War, etc?
4: No need to prepare for war - if we ignore the rest of the world, why, they rest of the world will ignore us!
If FDR did know Pearl Harbor was about to be hit - I don’t blame his lack of action, considering what he had to deal with. Same for Trump.
The most famous of those was Charles Lindburgh but once America went to war he backed the country and did his bit.
