It started as one of Ian’s solo projects but he recruited so many members of Tull for backup that it wound up a Tull album anyway.
The name of the album happened because the master tapes were all marked “A” for Anderson and it stuck.
One of his underappreciated masterpieces, IMO.
You should check out his Under Wraps and Walk Into Light solos, if you haven’t already.
Toad In The Hole and End Game are worth the time.

Oh yes, I have all the Tull albums and the solo works...including the instrumental one from the early 90s. Im a lifelong fan. Made in England, Apogee and European Legacy. Good stuff.

Had one YEARS ago, the digital age did in all that. Rocks on the Road from A Little Light Music is one of my favorite live cuts by any band, fantastic musicianship.
