It may be irrational, it may be highly unlikely, it may be entirely disproportional to the actual impact thus far, but...
WHAT IF... What if Trump announces a 14-day US quarantine?
We Americans are a contrarian bunch... urban centers are not down for being patient or compliant... The Poor are not going to be able to survive for 14 days with their current resources, and they will not be able to survive a 14-day skip in their pay cycles...
Did they shut down schools during WWII? Restaurants? How about limiting gatherings to 50 people?
I do not recall reading about any of that pertaining to WWII. Rationing of just about everything, yes.
Our family is the only one in America which did not stock up on toilet paper. We will be experimenting with moss, leaves, and old newspapers....
My daily driver does 0-60 in 2.8 seconds. Assuming I don’t do a gearing change.
I am one of those weirdos who always flashes them over to the right lane.
*Always*.
Trying to make it a little easier.
Here in Idaho I got tri- tips, sirloins, t-bones, etc walking all over. Negotiations with the neighbor gets me meat. Spud cellars are everywhere, again negotiations ensue me some. Being an old farm boy there aint nothing I cant butcher or can. I feel for the city bound folks but I can kill it and grill it. Springs coming and Im going to grow me some more groceries. Vote in stupid, get stupid. In the red flyover country, we country folks WILL survive.
Someone with an intelligence background, and that’s as far as I will go. I’m sure it will be revised some before release so consider that. My bet is that it will be watered down and the tougher rules will be leaked out over weeks if needed. But this is version I have now, so there it is.
Covid 19 makes you shit?
On hot days, if only I could, I’d go total Boadicea on everyone.
:D
I need a cigarette now.
;)
Thanks.
Some motorhead show I watch just showed me how to remove the “pink fuse” [#14] and change *everything*.
Italy leads in “regular hospital beds” per capita....no word on the ventilator/respirator count per capita.

It’s 18 years old and it runs high tens out of the box. It also has the same 155 top speed as the Hemi, so yes, I can catch you. :P
Well we’re going to really find out now if the government can track us via our cellphones.
Heard something eerily similar, but 2-4 weeks not 8.
We already have that here in L.A. so it wouldnt change anything.
“But it does not eliminate the virus from existence, meaning that we are all right back where we are now within a few weeks or months once again. What’s the point?”
As already mentioned, it’s not intended to eliminate the virus from existence. It’s intended to “flatten the curve” of the rate of infection, allowing hospitals to remain able to effectively treat all the infected as well as other seriously ill patients that might otherwise get no treatment if the ICUs are overwhelmed. If that can be maintained as the virus dissipates when/why it eventually does, it could save many lives.
Um, maybe because that’s basically most nations’ and states’ plans for a communicable disease pandemic and has been for about 40 years with only the timeframe differing? This isn’t new.
Those guy’s are just SO knowledgeable.
I bow to their expertise...
What I got came from National Command Authority originally. But yeah, I expect it to be watered down or slowly ramped up if needed.
