One of Canada’s biggest airlines has confirmed that three passengers who recently arrived in Toronto have tested positive for COVID-19.
WestJet said that the public health agency of Canada informed the airline that one guest on board a Mar. 11 flight from London, England’s Gatwick Airport (WS 4) has tested positive for COVID-19.
“Guests who were seated in rows 10-16 of WestJet flight 4, returning to Toronto Pearson Airport from London Gatwick (LGW) are directed to self-isolate and call Peel Public Health immediately at 905-799-7700 (or at 905-584-2216 if in Caledon),” the airline said in a statement issued Sunday.
We need to figure out how to start mass producing ventilators.
I assume everyone in contact will be notified during tracing. ‘Most’ everyone.
There have to be enough people left for the rest of the troubles.

Some Mensa-babe was telling me, right here on these threads, that she knew best and that her planned cruise in a month or two would not be impacted by Coronavirus - and that my problem in understanding her reasoning was my inferior intelligence.

My instinctive faith in him was not misplaced, I see. He is doing everything right, including the hard parts.
Everyone should watch this and hope for the same kind of leadership from their own state.

That’s not a popular thing to say here, but I AGREE - if anything, the media (and Democrats) should have been sounding off against Trump for an entire month, once Wuhan was locked-down. MANY others here thought the same. It’s almost as though they saw Trump stepping into it, and decided to let him sink.

Snowbirds are usually out of FL by mid may.
The spring breakers are only going to add to what’s already happening.
Honestly, some of the snowbirds ought to consider staying in place for a while while this thing peaks. At least they’ll be where they might be able to get better medical care.
Since FL has such a high percentage of older folks anyways, I’m going to guess they have more equipment to deal with critical cases since they are more likely to see them.
I think the best thing people can do is be as careful as possible, avoid unnecessary contact with others, and make their peace with God. Because if this doesn’t get them, something certainly will.
What this virus has done, is forced many oblivious folks to face their own mortality, and considering the direction this country has been going in for so many years, that’s a new thought to most of them. They aren’t ready for it.
