In fact if I were Trump, Id call in all the big box people, Walmart, Costco etc and tell them to tell to immediately develop *temporary* policies where the panicked and greedy can only have two cases of water per person or 3 bottles of hand sanitizer, etc...No more BS where ya see people rolling out with 3 full baskets of tissues, water, sanitizer etc.
Id put of quick stop to that nonsense.
I am a prepper - I already have food, medicine, water, guns and ammo. I have wood pellets and spare propane for cooking. My house is defensible and my family knows first aid and how to shoot. I have a job where I can work from home. We can be ok for 2 to 3 months before a more aggressive efforts would need to be undertaken.
So from a personal impact point of view - dont really care.
From a Constitutional point of view - NO WAY!
Rising prices in times of need and shortages is how money flows to new businesses who can meet that need.
IMHO, let the retailer figure it out. The possibility of mandatory business closures is being implemented here and there by drama queens and partisan shills, there's no need for a national "policy" based on hysteria. Thanks Berosus.
Maybe we should leave this up to the stores... they can limit purchases if they want to.
As soon as the government steps in a black market is created. It’s why bankers in New York are doing cash runs on ATM machines.
HELL F’ING NO
See the title?
Definition of the word, "Request" is;
"The act or an instance of asking for something"
It seems some here have no idea what the word means.
No one suggested Trump pass a law or enact "Mandates" to retailers. Only ask them to limit purchases of the items being hoarded by the panicked. What would that do if they all accepted the request? It would immediately help curtail these panicked idiots from rolling out of the store with 2 and 3 baskets full of TP, sanitizers, water etc.
This is not a complex idea. It's very simple.
Btw, I went to a Walmart this morning and it looked like Venezuela. And to be honest, I am more alarmed by the panic hoarding than the Chicom cootie. Take care.
Simple solution: if you buy more than two packages of TP, you have to use it before you leave the store.
