First, let me say I am more than pleased in how my chemo and radiation treatments have been going. No nausea at all from the chemo and outside the pain from the arthritis in my shoulders holding my arms over my head for 15 to 20 minutes during radiation, I am not suffering much at all. Oh, I am down in the dumps at times and have fatigue to the max. I am sleeping about 16 hours a day.
All in all, the whole experience has been much better than I ever expected and all thanks to you all who gave me their prayers and support. I am so thankful to y'all!
Now, back at the ranch-- Coronavirus Insanity is real! The drive by media and the DemocRATS, never letting a crisis go to waste, are trying with all their might to kick fear into hyper-drive against President Trump and the Republicans and a part of it has hit close to home--
Hell, it has hit home right here in Corsicana, Texas, 56 miles south of Big D.
I went out for my last radiation treatment for the week at noon and then went down to the local HEB Grocery to get some milk. Now, granted, I have not been out and about much other than to get my chemo and radiation treatment, but as I drove up to HEB the parking lot was crammed to the brim.
Finally finding a parking spot, I made it inside and found an empty handicap cart and entered a land of folks filling grocery carts to the brim. Oh, I was able to get milk, yet I found there was not a roll of toilet paper to be found. Just a whole wall of empty racks where it should be stocked. Nor was there any hand sanitizer either. And thinking of my need to use distilled water in my COPD unit I went to get a couple of gallon jugs. Yep, the water section was just as empty as the toiler paper area.
I waited in line for nearly 20 minutes to pay for my milk and a couple of other things and then went down the street to Brookshires' discount brand grocery and found they were also out of water, too.
I realized I had several extra distilled jugs at home, so I figure I'll try again early in the morning when the trucks make their grocery deliveries. Getting home, I took the two distilled jugs I used as drinking water out of the fridge to save for my COPD. I filled up four empty jugs with water from the sink faucet and put them in the fridge for drinking.
God Bless you, Danny!
May our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ carry you through this storm. Amen!
Continuing to pray for you.
Hugs and Prayers continuing.
Prayers continue for you and all those battling cancer

Prayers for you and yours continue Bender!!!!
I am praising GOD for your experiences with mild side effects!
Father in Heaven, thank you for blessing Bender with mild side effects during treatment. Please continue to reduce all his discomfort and stay beside him through treatment and help him be aware of Your close companionship at every appointment. Father I ask that you heal him completely and grant his physicians Your healing insights and guidance. I ask for Bender’s complete recovery in the name of Your Son, Jesus Christ. Amen!
Prayers continue every night. AND for the insurance co. to come through in your favor.
Thank you, Lord.
Stay safe, FRiend!!
Continuing prayers. Hope you are able to have the supplies you need.
Danny, chemo is no picnic and I admire you for keeping a positive attitude. Hang in there. And be careful of the Wuhan kung flu going around too.
Prayers continue for you.
But I winced when I read your report of a visit to the grocery store. Did your doctors not tell you to avoid such situations? Your immune system is not in good shape right now.
We praise Thee, o Lord for the continued healing of Thy servant. We pray for all affected by the virus and by the shortages.
In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost.
Amen.
Prayers up.
I have not heard anyone say why the toilet paper is not replenished. Get to work and do it, guys.
Other items are due to herd instinct as they see others getting food and they imitate them. Then ten people have all the paper products and sanitizer and 250 people have none. Hoarding as well as herding.
Keep your spirits up. We’re thinking of you.
gettin old ain’t for sissy’s
The nurse who gave me the shot also made appointments for me to have another shot tomorrow, one on Friday, then one Monday and the fifth on Tuesday. She did not know if that was the cost of the series of 5 shots or if that was the cost of each. Anyway, I am so happy to have two good insurances that made my co-pay zero.
The nurse also told me to watch for side effects of flu like aches and pains but if my temp should get up to 100.5, to call the doc day or night. So far, my temp is normal and no pains or aches, knock on wood.
Y'all take care and God Bless,
Danny
