There is some suggestion of a run on Zinc. How about Quersetin with Bromolain? The Q&B combo makes for better absorption of the Q. A half gram of Q twice daily for 12 weeks is tolerable by some accounts. The Q also seems to foster transport of Zinc across cellular membranes similar to Chloroquine. Should independently verify.
Most people only have a few days worth of most everything. Same people that have their credit maxed out at all times so they can have the latest, shiniest toys. No way to live imho.
Seems like they’re a mix of denial and anger right now.
Comments from reddit/kroger. This is what JIT capitulation looks like:
“Truck cancellations
Cincy/Dayton division here. I work night shift grocery and just heard that my stores grocery truck tonight as well as Mondays have been cancelled. We didnt receive a frozen truck last night as well. Anyone else experiencing this?
EDIT: Perishable and frozen trucks have now been cancelled too.”
“Cincy div here, my store received the frozen truck and some of the grocery truck but no perishables at all.
Edited to add; the warehouses cant handle the 250,000+ picks. Highest theyve experienced is around 120,000. Safe to say the warehouse is probably hiring atm.”
I’m gonna make a WAG that the ‘warehouse picks’ involve pallets and cases of stuff. Which is totally impressive.
What happens when the warehouses run out of stuff...?
You know, I was watching it build up — and I am safe and
stockpiled — but I was still making excuses for delaying
actions I knew I needed to be taking. I hadn’t been paying
any attention, I can’t imagine how screwed I would be.
As it is, I am kicking myself for saving the $25 and taking USPS instead of next day delivery for stock sale...
Hours of Mah-jong in my future.

A lot of people were fear mongering over economic carnage of the 2008 crash. Guess what we recovered, it was not the end of the world.
I got layoff in 2008, could not find a job so I created my own job by opening a business. That business lead me into a new job a year later that is paying 6 figures doubling my income. I did not lay around in fear of the economy crashing.
Just like now this is not the end of the world.
Don’t be a fearmonger.
gonna be some baby makin goin on
It’s not schadenfreude.
It’s genuine shock that things got this bad this fast.
I honestly didn’t expect the grocery store runs (on everything) like this.
I just wanted to stock up a bit so we wouldn’t have to mingle in the store with possibly infected people.
The National Guard gives out MREs
For 350M people?
Head out to the country and do some shopping. Plenty in stock - for now and non-city people are less likely to be infected.
I watch another interview of a doctor from Italy. Looks like they are handling the issue good, it just they have a very high population of elderly people. It does look like the virus is hitting people in their 60s with health problems.
I think herd immunity will help the next time around for this virus where we do not need to shut down. That is unless the virus does not mutate into something worst. Big if..
By failing to prepare, you are preparing to fail.
As if she couldn’t take personal responsibility of bringing her own wipes. As if she couldn’t turn the cart around and push it by the front end. She obviously doesn’t realize she’s putting her fresh lettuce in poopy seat and the whole cart, store items and the cashier are all germy.
In my state it IS in the country now.
:(
As I’ve said, I’m not really worried about ME catching it, I’m worried about hubby getting it.
“m not really worried about ME catching it, Im worried about hubby getting it.”
Same here I am in good heath, I am worried for my wife. We are on self lock down...
Ugh, we’ve all heard stories of drivers nibbling out of meal deliveries. Imagine an infected driver grabbing a few fries.
This was discussing Kroger grocery deliveries.
Or simply working in a warehouse or store stocking items.
Better than nothing at the moment.
I’ve never trusted delivery drivers since we saw one dude picking pepperoni off our pizza before he brought the box into the lobby...long time ago when I was in college.

BREAKING: UK reports 342 new cases of coronavirus and 10 new deaths, raising total to 1,140 cases and 21 dead

Imho Boris has been awful on handling the virus—he has gone straight into surrender mode.
There will be quarantines in places in London. It is going to happen, whether Boris wants it to or not.
But—he will have waited too long.
The British health system is going to crash and burn beyond anyone’s wildest dystopian imagination—and it will be no later than a May 1 event.
That is my gloom and doom opinion—but that is what the math says...
