My local Walmart and Kroger were sold out of alcohol yesterday. No hand sanitizer either.
Someone (Pence?) said FedGov had placed a big order for masks - has 3M said when it could be delivered?
Incidentally, VERY interesting & detailed info. here on one company’s product:

Are the 3M masks similar?
IF Mass Gen is affiliated with Harvard, they believe they are so intelligent that they can repel the virus merely by raising their eyebrows.
A very easy way is a baggie or very small spray bottle. With baggie, soak a small hand cloth or portion thereof with alcohol. Place everything in bag and now you have a wipe on demand.
Small bottle Fill with alcohol and spritz when neccessary. I sued that method when checking into a hotel room. Sprayed all handles, switches, faucets, and tv controls. Wiped down afterwards with microfiber cloth. (no special reason for micro fiber. just that I had a bunch for free from Harbor Freight)
Just make sure you let the alcohol (like the hand sanitizer) set for a few minutes before you wipe it down.

Thank you for the alcohol dilution recipe. One hint, though -— alcohol will degrade some plastics. Obviously, the plastic bottle it comes in, is not one of them. I ruined a watch face cover once, cleaning it with alcohol; it dissolved the plastic a bit and made it cloudy. ;)
The weekend tends to be busy (at least around these parts) so if folks can shop during the day on Monday they should be ok imho.
Um, not everyone who gets Coronavirus develops pneumonia. And just because you get pneumonia doesn’t mean it does permanent damage to your lungs!
Not everyone who gets COVID-19 developes irreversible lung damage! And none of the sources from your link made that claim. And that was what I was addressing! It’s another scare tactic that plays a little loose with the truth.
Thanks everyone for the hand sanitizer info. Went shopping earlier this evening and there were signs on the now empty shelves that only 4 (name item) per person. Who knows how long before they are restocked.
(BTW, if the isopropyl alcohol is gone, clear vodka (ethyl alcohol) might work as a substitute!)
Or did you just mean "arrested and set free by a moonbat 0moeba-appointed judge?"

You can drink the vodka too come your nerves...
Ebay banned all listings for masks and hand sanitizers today. Isn’t globalism fun!
Mass premeditated murder certainly is an accurate description of what they do, yes.

Thanks for the recipe.
I have some 50% (??) Isopropyl and some 91%....how much 91 should I add (to say a cup) to make the 50% into 70%?
1/3 C?
Math’s hard ... lol.
That is a good article on preparation. One big thing some might need to remember is that it’s not a great idea for unprepared masses to realize *you* are the prepared one.
We are on the cusp of spring. Something for some to consider might be a bit of “guerilla gardening.” Planting edibles, especially those not typically recognized, in unexpected locations. Carrots, turnips, potatoes, jerusalem artichokes, various greens, squashes, radishes, beans, peas. Root crops aren’t recognized by most people.
Having months of canned, frozen, dehydrated and freeze dried food is wonderful but adding in fresh things will be a plus as long as they can be washed/cooked thoroughly. I’m looking at the long term supply chain disruption on this. And I know I have neighbors who may eye my garden. This year the bulk of my garden will not be where they think. Paranoid? Maybe. Prepared? Yes.
I laugh about it. Granted, the time to prepare should have been before the emergency. We’ll have to add the word “hoarders” and “panic” to the Flu Bros limited vocabulary.
Vodka 80 proof is only 40% alcohol. Needs to be minimum 60% (120 proof).
