I’m listening to the first video now and basically its a “lets close everything down and hide in our homes scenario.” That will work of course but no mention of the down side.

Cuomo also said mandatory quarantine was shown to be the only sure way to stop the virus (paraphrasing by me).
Listening to them now and much of the advice is good solid commonly known stuff that you do for the flu or similar diseases.Is the coronoa much worse than flu,of course it is but should we all hide in our homes for months until summer,is that the ultimate answer?

By only opening shopping centers for 3 hours a day, Iran will be spreading the disease as people will be crowding in. Closer personal space due to limited time to purchase food and medicine.
Focus on the difference between the normal flu and this disease—look at the charts.
Look at the chart with the three tradeoffs.
If the WH does not get this right, we will have big problems long before the election...and they will be _everybody’s big problems.....

Went to a Walmart in central Alabama this morning, a town of about 15,000.
I have hand sanitizer, but decided to check the availability. Got to that isle and there were five people standing before a big empty space in the shelves, looking to each side and above and below to make sure there were no stray bottles, There were none and one lady starting talking about how you can make you own.
But it was not unusually busy otherwise. The parking lot was about 1/3 full. Another area of almost empty shelves was general, antiseptic, cleaning products, and it was a large area, about half one side of the aisle of about 25 or 30 feet. Stock throughout the food section lower than normal, but few other areas that were empty, or almost empty.

OK SME. Since you assume H1N1 is more dangerous - then you should be able to answer a question for me. Let us suppose we have two patient zeros; 1 with H1N1 and 1 with COVID-19. After the 10th generation of transmission, how many cases of each are there and how many of those cases require ICU treatment. Of those, what is the CFR? Are the numbers identical? If it's normal - then the numbers should be the same after 10 generations of transmission or COVID-19's may be less?. So - what is your answer. Thanks.
