Well, well, well. It’s not like Nanzi to cooperate. Perhaps she thought she could slide this crap by everyone. Looks like the Republicans showing some spine has had some results.
She probably checked with her polling service and they told her it wasn’t playing well.
What I don’t understand with these liberals and their attempt to “pork” up this bill is that no one on our side asks any of them WHY they’re doing it. I know many of our top conservative radio and TV people know at least one liberal in Congress and it would be so enlightening to hear what possible excuse they would give. Obviously there is NO logical or humane reason why, but I would love to hear what they would say and then use it against them.
Guess the stock market is banking on the congress to get a bill done today, sure hope that they do.
Wonder how much optimism is because of the President saying yesterday that we got to get back to work as soon as possible after the 15 day shut down.
There’s never been a challenge to the 27th Amendment....if it could even make it to the President’s desk.
Yes, he is very cautious in his speaking - like a politician.
So many saw her last minute effort to stall this and load it up with crazy things that had nothing to do with the crisis at hand.
Many that don’t even follow politics so much were very angry on social media/facebook.
Dems looked really bad for trying this stunt.
He also has learned to turn the words to get message out without presenting anything that can be manipulated or taken out of content.
How many times has MP repeated exactly what DJT has just said using a different set of words. As the president said of his fathers advice.”softened his tone!”
I think the stock market taking off today is because of the president indicating that the country has to get back to work. There is a solid economy in place, thanks to good trade deals, and it has been temporarily side-lined. I think the inkling that things are going to get back to normal has cause a lot of those who sold to get back in at bargain prices. The bill going through will be another plus, but the market took off starting last night when more people started talking about the cure being worse than the disease.
I couldn’t have said it better myself. I KNOW he is an honorable, honest, religious, conservative person. All the right things. But because he speaks so cautiously & chooses his words so carefully, he reminds me political-speak, and not as convincing. My opinion only.

Nasty must have seen that most American's viewed this as despicable.
Plus her dem senators probably got an earful about the pork package. Maybe they had to nerve to speak up.

The dim Senators would not even go on the floor to defend this pork-u-lous bill as there was no defense.
