L.A. County releasing some inmates from jail to combat coronavirus
Sheriff Alex Villanueva said deputies and police officers across the county have been directed to cite and release people whenever possible, instead of arresting them, and to seek medical clearance before booking anyone who shows symptoms. Countywide, he said, arrests have dropped from a daily average of 300 to 60, while the jail population was reduced by more than 600 inmates.
“Our population within our jail is a vulnerable population just by virtue of who they are and where they’re located,” Villanueva said Monday at a news conference in downtown L.A. “So we’re protecting that population from potential exposure.”

I was thinking the same thing. He pleaded guilty because he didn’t want to put his family through a trial.
Came back. Where is the shelter in place? I don’t see.
Roads are busy as usual. Long lines at ChickfilA Older Chinese and Nam people are out in full force, even with walkers.
Spreaders are all over. I think.
First, I went to bank. I used a mask and Clorox wipes to open the bank door, used the same wipe for ATM, Transaction and different wipe for Locker. There was one white couple in their 60s or 70s. They were just using bare fingers on ATM keys. I pointed to them, they should use wipes or hand sanitizer, but they shrugged their shoulders. This idiot couple will spread infection. Then I went to Trader’s Joe. They have a queue. They were allowing only 20 people at one point inside the store. Outside guys were standing with hand sanitizers. Every cart was sanitized before giving it to us. The store was 80% with stock. TP and normal Peanut butter were out. Some frozen food was out. They were sanitizing the scan table before every grocery scan. Proud of Trader’s joe.
Older citizens were out in full force. Not good.
My county, NY, and one county in Washington are a hot spot.
