Just watched the Corona virus press conference.
What a difference in tone the press has.
Way more civil, did not hear the jerk from yesterday yell.
Must say this virus situation seems to have a plus in maybe bringing sanity back to the press.

That’s a perfect summary. Thanks to you two, and many others here, for your level-headedness and seeing the REAL disastrous effects of this virus. Hopefully, medically, it will die out with warmer weather and good precautions. But the freedoms that are given away in exchange for programs will never be gotten back

How Coronavirus Will Strengthen Trump’s 2020 Campaign
FTA:While the mainstream media have been running around yelling thtat the sky is falling and the left is criticizing Trump for not acting fast enough in curtailing the spread of the coronavirus, here’s how it will end up helping Trump during his re-election campaign. It will validate the need to continue with his two biggest campaign issues from 2016: building a wall on the Mexican border and getting the United States off its dependency with China by re-balancing trade.
He’s already succeeded more than anyone would have thought possible with both of these issues.
When the presidential campaign begins in earnest this coming fall, the Coronavirus “crisis” will be long over with, so Trump will be able to raise it as an example of why the United States needs secure borders and to reduce our dependency on China, especially when it comes to prescription drugs that have been outsourced to China. The best example is the production of antibiotics.

Whew, That’s good. Or I’d be worried for Cooper. One consequence of the virus that will work for us is that I read that people having surgery or having doctors appointments are being asked to have anybody accompanying them stay outside, not in the waiting rooms. For some reason, with cataract surgery two out of the three surgical clinics I called said that they won’t do the surgery if you don’t have someone waiting for you in the waiting room. Not sure why. But we take Cooper everywhere, and hubby would want to wait in the parking lot with him. Looks like now that will work out. (We’re really not as ridiculous as we sound, it’s just hard to leave him home with the cats. He will eat all their food. And they are elderly and can’t jump on the counter anymore. And last time I had them separated they managed to open the door But they’re not saying who did it. But now I can’t trust any of them.
I don’t know what Trump was referring to either.
I would imagine it was something the MI governor didn’t do but who knows.

I was very curious to know exactly what the president meant when he said that China has much incentive to not cut off prescription drugs.
Numbers will keep going up as significantly more testing is now happening.
