I wish I had thought of going to a poorer town.
The supermarket I went to is in Freeport, and
that is a VERY wealthy town,
It is also where LL Bean is located.

I will go to a couple of stores in the Lewiston-Auburn area.
Lots of smaller Mom and Pop type stores in that town.

So, seeing as this China virus has crashed America’s economy, America should cancel any monies they owe to China in order to pay for damages caused by their disease. This would bring the national debt down substantially.

Update on my friend’s daughter:

She has been tested and sent back home to self-quarantine. They have given her more meds for the bacterial pneumonia which she had a few weeks ago.

My friend isn’t as worried as she was earlier.

Talked with my older son in Houston earlier today and he said that the construction company that he works for has been slammed by this mess. It’s fairly new and was going super strong.

They’ve had all of their jobs cancelled: WalMart, Walgreens, - several other large companies have cancelled jobs.

It’s awful.

Yes, China needs to be held accountable.

Lots of people are being hit hard.

Ummm I think that’s why the Chinese are trying to blame on the US military. They want no consequences.

Otoh we are or have been aware of the Chinese taking material from a NC lab in 2015. Also from a Canadian Lab. According to my BIL who just retired the Chinese have not only a bad reputation for stealing but also for lying about it. (Sort of like the ME countries.). Seems like Iran and China have gotten a bit of pay back for their dishonesty. Sort of like consequences to actions.

People in those areas travel more and are more likely to have insurance and seek medical testing.

“I’m not concerned about this media induced hysteria. We are all taking proper precautions and have not had any cases. I learned to washed my hands when I was a kid and have been doing it for years.”

You'll find the people there will probably be very friendly too. I'm actually going back to this small store again. It will just take longer for the large stores to stock up again.

I was afraid of this. Letting our people back in will be a big impact. But I understand why we have too.

I must say, that was a VERY boring debate. Biden lied when he said I want to cut Social Security and Medicare. That’s what they ALL said 4 years ago, and nothing happened, in fact, I saved Social Security and Medicare. I will not be cutting, but they will. Be careful!

Aspen and some of these places are magnets for foreigners and such. People come in for a week or so and then leave. So they are spreading virus in more than one place sadly.
