Hmmmm, Trump will still persevere, but what odds. He’s finally looking tired and less jovial. He’s got the weight of the nation on his broad shoulders.

This is not the time to appear jovial. He must be serious and in charge. Which he is doing extremely well. His use of Pence is masterful.
My sis called from
Michigan to tell me how much people loved him there. She did some grocery shopping and stopped at pharmacy. They were all discussing how well our team was handling the situation and what an excellent selection Trump had made in Pence. I told her the tarmac story She cried. Gods choice not Trumps. He just listened to God!
Yelp He’s a good listener

I didn’t mean to sound like he should appear jovial. He’s acting perfectly right. That’s why I didn’t think that lady that was acting like a giggly teenager was acting appropriately. This is serious stuff. I’m getting the impression everybody knows that he is in command, and will put in all the restrictions necessary.
I love that story, although I don’t know all of it but I got the gist :-) have to get the book first.

O'Biden promises to select a woman as running mate.
Does that mean Chasten Buttigieg's wife Petey is still on the shortlist?

Folks, these officials are not thinking clearly. This is going to make things worse... (maybe that's their goal) Panic is going to increase exponentially. Here's why....
Illinois Governor J.B. Pritzker Orders Forced Closure of All Restaurants and Bars March 16th through March 30th
For the past 20 years it has been measured that supermarket growth was -30% as more and more Americans ate at restaurants. The growth in the "dining out", or food consumed outside the home, sector was the cause.
Imagine the rush on Illinois supermarkets now, if there is no other option.
If you think food panic is a problem right now... Imagine what will follow if supermarkets are the *only* option.
The retail food supply-chain cannot support every American needing to purchase food to eat at home. It is simply not possible to ramp up to that kind of level.
Hence POTUS talking to supermarket execs earlier today.
If state officials are going to make these decisions, they would have to coordinate closely with the retail grocers in their states.
The decision to shut down restaurants would have to be closely coordinated and timed with a civil society need for alternatives.
Illinois Governor J.B. Pritzker has made no alternatives, no contingency planning within the retail food sector.
He is going to make 'food panic' much worse throughout the entire state.
This is a huge deal. Ramifications cannot be overstated.
In essence, Illinois Governor J.B. Pritzker, is creating the exact outcome of a Hurricane hitting the state, wiping out power, and shutting restaurants.
No-one in the state is prepared for this.
It's not as simple as most people would think.Food supply chain logistics, and emergency food distribution during disaster recovery, is a very complex dynamic.
You'd be amazed at the percentage of the population that relies on restaurants for their food needs. You cannot just shut that down without weeks of planning.
Right now, today, the retail food supply-chain is trying to recover from the previous panic buying. Stores are wiped out. Warehouses are emptying trying to replenish the stores. The upstream is trying to feed the warehouses.
This is exactly the wrong time to limit food choices.
...and push more people into the retail food stores.
The products are available (upstream in the supply chain), and manufacturers are ramping up production/shipping to keep up with demand, but it will take time to replenish distribution centers (warehouses) and then stores.
Any policy that drives more demand, when demand is already outpacing supply, is a bad policy.
This is the food supply chain we are talking about. This is not arbitrary stuff being discussed. This supply chain is critical.
