Powers would be my go-to town for “Deliverance” jokes. A guy I knew as a neighbor on Elrod recently moved back to Oregon, and settled in Powers. Apparently there was some corrupt circumstance involving the town’s law enforcement, and my former neighbor made a crusade of it. Bad idea. He’s since moved back to the Midwest, encouraged by many death threats to himself, his wife, and their dogs.
Someone once referenced a Neighborhood Watch in Powers. I pictured 2guyd with shotguns and shovels.

I guess the question hasn’t been asked as to why an Iranian flew to Bali to get to NZ. And is the Iranian an ethnic Persian or a Chinese-Iranian on CCPs payroll?
This...this story is the exemplar of what we’ve been talking about for weeks. You don’t need many cases to overwhelm a system in the middle of flu season.

It baffles me how and why our CDC has been unable to do what S.Korea has done in terms of testing. I know there are possible political reasons- but my real worry is that it’s either utter stupidity and ignorance and/or incompetence on several levels.
Ok, so if this is true in South Korea, shouldn’t we start seeing Seoul getting hammered by this?

Who is going to pay for the tests?
In the US health industry, the proper coding and billing for everything is paramount.
And who is allowed to order a test?
Close your eyes for a second. Picture AOC on one of her screens demanding that she be tested. Multiply that by about 200 million.

Exclusive: U.S. postpones summit with ASEAN leaders amid coronavirus fears - sources
U.S. President Donald Trump had invited leaders of the 10-member Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) to meet in Las Vegas after he did not attend a summit with the group in Bangkok in November.
“As the international community works together to defeat the novel coronavirus, the United States, in consultation with ASEAN partners, has made the difficult decision to postpone the ASEAN leaders meeting,” one of the sources, a senior administration official, told Reuters.
The official added that the United States values its relationships with ASEAN member nations and looks forward to future meetings.
