With all the latest polls indicating a surge of support for Bloomberg to be the Dem nominee along with a steady rise in support for Bernie Sanders and a corresponding major decline in support of Joe Biden my FR prediction is a Bloomberg/Sanders ticket for the Democrats in the 2020 race against President Trump.
Anyone agree or disagree with this prediction. I did not post a source link to any specific polls since the data is not consistent but the surge and decline are trends when honest analysis is conducted.
The Odd Couple. One’s a billionaire capitalist who wants to control what people drink and smoke, cow farts and fossil fuels, and take away their guns. The other’s a communist, who wants to own the means of production and control what people drink, eat, smoke, cow farts and fossil fuels, and take away their guns, and limit their earnings. Since they’re both Jewish, they’re a living illustration of a Hitler speech about the labor organizer Kahn and his cousin the industrialist Cohn. When they lose, it’ll be because America and Trump are anti-Semitic. Will Russia be in the mix this time?
If Bernie can’t get to 50% and there is a brokered convention, things could get really crazy.
The Democrats only way out would be to pick a “compromise” candidate (think their version of Warren G. Harding) who was not on the primary or caucus ballot.
A Warren G. Harding type would have the following characteristics:
(1) Totally unknown
(2) Totally obedient to party bosses
(3) Major skeletons well-hidden in their closet so they can be blackmailed by the bosses.
(4) A governor of a state with a substantial number of electoral votes.
(5) A boring speaker.

Bloomberg is finished.
His race-filled audio that surfaced supporting stop and frisk has destroyed him.
Bloomberg is a true elitist who will never be the nominee.
Given the significant shift in polling data today I think it qualifies as breaking news.
I think VP will be that Stacey Abrams
Bloomy/Bernie would be like oil and water...and both are Oldies (77/78)...
My guess would be that one of these two (probably Bloomy) will emerge and pick Klobuchar...adding some relative youth and the required estrogen...
On the Pubbie side, it would not be surprising to see Trump dump Pence...
In that case, I could see a Veep future for either Nikki Haley or Elise “that mouth” Stefanik...
The Dims will need to put together a ticket that checks off as many boxes as possible. As Veep, names like Booker, Harris, or Abrams come to mind. For a different box, maybe Amy K. I don't think even the DNC is ready to check off Li'l Petie's box just yet.
There's a reason Hillary had some facial work done. And had her teeth whitened .. or at least, made less brown.
Trump won’t dump Pence, for many reasons:
Pence is a great VP; loyal, supportive, articulate and gaffe free.
Pence is the good cop that allows Trump to be the bad cop.
Pence reinforces the ticket in the Bible Belt.
Tossing your VP to the curb is a sign of weakness.
A lot of Trump supporters really like Pence and would be pissed.
Bernie would never accept the #2 spot on the ticket — especially to a billionaire, former republican like Bloomberg. And I don’t see Bloomberg investing all that money to by a “warm bucket of spit”.
My guess is that Bloomberg has a very real chance at the nomination. Sanders will die of a heart attack in a hotel room after eating some rubber chicken. Oh, and Epstein didn’t kill himself...

Hillary will kill both of them, run for president and have romney dress in a gimp suit and follow her around as vice president.
I agree; in an election where the black vote has never been more important than ever for Dems, he is done. Bloomberg was an unlikable tyrant before; now any opponent can frame him as a racist.
I agree with his continuation of Giuliani’s policies as mayor of NYC, but when he left the Republican Party to assault individual liberties (salt shakers on tables, smaller Big Gulp cups, congestion pricing to get the little people out of his way in Lower Manhattan) he showed how un-American he is.
They can’t be on the same ticket because Sanders’ comments about wealth can be used by an opponent against Sanders’ own running mate.
I am thinking of 2024.
Pence doesn’t have a chance.
Pompeo could actually do it. For the same reason, I would actually like Robert Lighthizer, equally.
And I can see Trump selecting him as a candidate.
Either one of them.
Pence is a good guy, but nobody will elect him president.

Hillary is waiting to be drafted, she avoids the campaign trail and jumps right in

The Obamas have be TOO quiet. With his former VP going down in flames, you would think he would be more vocal.
Then again the Clinton’s have been very quiet as well.
Democrat aren’t going to run two cranky old Jewish white guys.
