(The above is not a statement of fact. It is either opinion or satire. Or both.)

We all watched the first episode of Star Trek.
We all decided we wanted to be astronauts.
We started a training program.
We were at my friend Davids house, so he got first shot in the astronaut trainer.
It was a clothes dryer.
David only lasted a few seconds in the astronaut training program.
His Mom sent us all home.

Had to ask. My parents got the submarine version for my brother and I.
They took one look at the material sliding out of the package, pushed it back in, and sent it back for a refund.
We were so disappointed...

As I looked at it last night, it reminded me of the first EVA (”spacewalk”) done by the Soviets.
It turned out that the Soviets didn’t have a rigid suit, and as the cosmonaut tried to reentry the capsule, the suit had ballooned out, making it impossible to fit through the door.
And, IIRC, the Soviets were still using 15 psi pressurization at the time, too.
He had to deflate the suit to a dangerous level to get back in.
OTOH, not deflating it wasn’t an appealing alternative.
