Its been widely reported that the virus can live on surfaces for over two weeks. The US and other countries import vast amounts of goods that are manufactured throughout China. These goods are air and ocean freighted throughout the world.
Governments are focused on quarantining people who show signs of infection (although its also been reported that an infected person need not show signs of an infection and can still transmit the virus), but we are overlooking the more insidious vector of foods and non-food items that come from potentially infected regions.
Our highly efficient distribution networks may exponentially speed the growth curve of this disease to the point that quarantines become useless.
And you're making a leap using the "more likely". A big leap to get to two weeks.
I saw it in a bunch of articles. Published a link to a study in post 48. Its says 4 weeks at 4 degrees Celsius for similar virus.
Did you mean to post this to me? Because I wasn’t the one making that claim.
Re: 48:
For SARS-CoV and NOT the current 2019-nCov.
I think he’s confused also.
It happens.
I was posting re: your Post 28.
All you have to do is wipe it, like with a cloth or something!.....................
......but I can't remember if I scratched my nose or not ;)
What I have is more of a (for lack of a better term) medical ozone generator. Meaning you need a pure oxygen source.
It sounds like you may want one of those ambient open air to ozone generators that they sell cheap. Some of them can make huge amounts of o3, so don't be breathing it. Corona types are better than open plate type generators as they produce less nitrogen oxides, ie, nitric acid on wet surfaces, ie, your lungs.
Pure medical oxygen ozone demonstration: Note: Due to the volume of a garbage bag, I generally only leave the tube in the bag for a minute or two, which makes the overall concentration of the ozone much weaker than this, naturally! Notice how harmless it is on the skin compared to liquid type oxidizers, such 35% hydrogen peroxide, that would be required to do this - and I am not sure even 35% would do it this quick and that is the strongest you can buy and it will burn you.
.
thanks
