The Legend of Bigfoot has resurfaced in the news this week after the Washington State Department of Transportation posted two apparent sightings on social media.
WSDOT East tweeted about a possible Sasquatch Sherman Pass sighting Wednesday afternoon.
"Have you noticed something strange on our Sherman Pass/SR 20 webcam before?" WSDOT said. "If you look closely by the tree on the left there looks to be something... might be Sasquatch... We will leave that up to you!"
The photos gained viral attention, with thousands retweeting, sharing and chiming in on what they thought it might be -- or just having plain fun with it.
Then Snoqualmie Pass reported its own encounter Thursday, on the heels of the Sherman sighting.
"I think Bigfoot is making the rounds across our mountain passes," WSDOT's Snoqualmie Pass account posted. "WSDOT East showed him on Sherman Pass the other day and now he is on the wildlife crossing on I-90 just east of Snoqualmie Pass."
Sasquatch had last been in the news around the Inland Northwest a little less than a year ago when a viewer spotted giant biped tracks near Medical Lake.
"Never stop believing," Steve Meacham said after discovering the tracks back in March. "I mean you always got to have something to look forward to. If you can't believe in something that you can't reach there's no sense in going forward."
Thanks for making me laugh!
You sure that’s Stacy. Where’s the buffet?
Did anyone bother checking the footprints?
(size, depth, shape, etc.)
I had a Bigfoot once. Then grew into it. Martians, climate change, Democrat party, Sasquatch, and honest lawyers?? You believe in that Schifftz. Come on people, grow up or go play in traffic.
When I zoom in both photos look like humans. One on left wearing boots. Walking position does recall Bigfoot stance/walking position.
One on right looks like a man wearing a coat. The gait does not resemble typical (claimed) Bigfoot stride. Much more man-like.
Zoe Lofgren?
“far away and out of focus?”
People I know from Oregon, Washington, etc say it is because they try to stay far away from humans-like most smart wild animals do. MrT5 was from Washington, and not a believer in criptids, space aliens, etc-Bigfoot was the exception-he totally believed Bigfoot was the real deal-he claimed to have heard one howling when hunting and camping in the woods on several occasions.
My best friend and employer is from Oregon-he is also not a believer in monsters, aliens, etc-but he is sure Bigfoot is real and lives in the forests of the Pacific NW and parts of Alaska and Canada-he claims to have seen one on an Elk hunting trip in the mountains some years ago. It is as if Bigfoot is almost the patron saint of the forests in the Pacific NW...
Coincidently they had their annual bigfoot convention in Washington state, the day after this sighting. What a coincident.
There are literally millions of acres of territory that man has not stepped on ever or rarely. We recently discovered a unknown river never mapped or known.
How easy could a species hide in our vast woodlands and forests.???
There are lots of credible sightings and evidence to at least give one pause.
Mr. RR was Forest Ranger on the Olympic Peninsula in the late “sixties”. He had a crew of Nez Perce Indians working for him doing some timber thinning. Those guys, without exception, believed in Sasquatch. They had quite the tales.
Looks like that Sasquatch has a “man bag”.
The Bigfoot in the left pic looks bored. Probably wishing he had a smartphone to post on FR and watch the super bowl. Nothing to do but trudge aimlessly through the snow wishing for a Big Mac and fries.
It’s a Pooka. Pookas are real. Sometimes they just look like Bigfoot.
When I sit in the woods long enough, I see things too.
Post of the day. Pre shave, post shave.

It’s a stew bum high on something.
