Thought it may be a good idea to have a place to follow all the fast moving events in one place
updates coming in fast
It may just be an embassy staffer prank-tweeting about how tough Russians are, swimming in cold water in the winter. (While so many Americans are freaked out about silly stuff like "climate change".)
Looks like he’s mooning us.
A few years back, my brother developed necrotic pneumonia. My Mom, my wife, daughter, and I went (almost 1000 miles drive) to help out. He barely survived, and, yeah, it was pretty rough.
Brother, you don’t want to be on that Long Black Train when the end comes.

Most viruses can last 24 hours or more on a hard surface.
On clothing was something like 2 to 3 hours.
A tissue paper (Kleenix) was 15 minutes.
On skin it only lasts 5 minutes until our enzymes break it down. (So keep your hands away from your face!)
I would guess that on a piece of paper mail would be similar to clothing - maybe a bit longer?
Freezing doesn’t do anything to a virus. Disinfectant, bleach, etc.
The other thing that is worrisome is that it is the middle of the afternoon in Wuhan on Saturday the 25th and there has been no new reporting from people on the ground. That means they have cut down even on leaks from VPN’s.
Thanks for the link!
I have been looking for leaks and can not find anything new.
It’s New Year’s Day in China, which I assume is a holiday and it’s Saturday. So that might explain some of it.
Pinging myself to read tomorrow

Excellent post!
In another thread there was a screen capture of some “top secret” guy talking about how this was weaponized. I hope it was just a spoof.
But it said it starts out as a flu, and in a couple weeks the real bad virus kicks in. Lungs burst and cough out blood and die.
Two of the images I saw with the bodies on the ground had blood by the head. Perhaps from falling, but perhaps from coughing up blood. (Or, hopefully - those clips are just from some budget horror flick!)
Ice water dunking/swimming.....a Russian Orthodox/Christmas/Epiphany tradition! Epiphany was January 20th.

I hope that is fake too.
I seem to recall hearing a medical expert on Fox Business saying it is contagious for up to 14 days before symptoms...
Can’t source it—wish I could.
I’m not finding it. Of course that is twitter.
That is the stupidest article.
No one in China trusts the government now!
Just crazy what our media says re China.
This is a hard outer shell virus. It lasts much longer on surfaces.
Russian government resigned. The flunkies are running things for awhile.
