The senators must direct the question, as well as ID themselves. CJ Roberts will read questions, alternating from GOP to DEM, saying "this question is from [name senators] to [name party]" and then will proceed.

Party leadership sorts through questions to avoid duplication and to attempt some sort of order (I assume grouping similar questions) to the process. No questions are censored.

I figure some questions will be composed "on the fly," based on answers given.

I heard one GOP member (forget who) say he hoped CJ Roberts would demand that the target of the question provide a responsive answer.

You didn't ask, but Q&A starts at 1 p.m. I doubt the president's defense team is going to exercise it's right to move to exclude house evidence based on hearsay and other exclusionary rules. Maybe to avoid a prolonged side-show they will lose, and just move on.

I had a thought (dangerous, I know) .. Mitch comes out and says he doesn't have the votes to block witnesses, Lindsey comes out and says if you want witnesses, we are going scorched earth. Could this be double-teaming to try to push some dems to break rank so that it is bipartisan crumbling?

Just wondering what shenanigans are going on. With those folks, what you see and what they say don't seem to ever be what the reality actually is.

This sham of a trial HAS to end on Friday, with a vote to acquit.

I think there will be 1-3 Dems voting to acquit, which will negate some of the usual turncoats on the GOP side.

But I WANT it to end, so Trump can go to the State of the Union address next Tuesday night exonerated, with the trial behind him, so Nancy Pelosi can be so embarrassed to sit behind him that she swallows her dentures on live TV.

There will be a lot of arm twisting between now and then.

But this circus has to leave town—it stinks.

For a guy who couldn’t get approved for the Ambassador to the U.N. years ago, couldn’t get approved for anything since, “begged” me for a non Senate approved job, which I gave him despite many saying “Don’t do it, sir,” takes the job, mistakenly says “Libyan Model” on T.V., and..

....many more mistakes of judgement, gets fired because frankly, if I listened to him, we would be in World War Six by now, and goes out and IMMEDIATELY writes a nasty & untrue book. All Classified National Security. Who would do this?
