I just had one yesterday. Before I was getting regular pedicures I thought they were selfish indulgences. But, really, pedicures have removed some callouses which were causing discomfort and have prevented skin cracking around my heals. Over here there is also a buffing technique that smooths out the ridges of the nails and makes the nails shine as if they had clear polish on them. My nails aren’t cracked and breaking off past the quick. Well worth it to me.
