When gun lovers rally in front of the Virginia Capitol in Richmond next week, the local chapter of antifa will be there too. But their members won’t be wearing all black, and they don’t plan to douse right-wingers in milkshakes or Silly String.
Instead, local antifa will join thousands of conservatives who are expected to descend on Richmond that day in protesting pending gun-control legislation introduced by Democratic lawmakers.

“I think it’s been pretty important for us to focus on the fact that gun control in America has a legacy of racist enforcement,” said Antifa Seven Hills spokesperson James (who asked that his name be withheld to avoid getting doxxed online). “Like taking guns away from black people, because black people were perceived as a threat to property and the sanctity of the state.”

The local antifa chapter’s engagement in this issue is another example of the resurgence of pro-gun leftists in America and yet more evidence that the gun-rights debate is growing increasingly politically diffuse and nuanced beyond simply being a GOP issue.
SNIP
Antifa and conservative gun-rights activists would seem to be unlikely bedfellows; anyone who’s tuned into cable news in the last few years has watched scenes of political violence unfold between the hard-left and right-wingers in places like Portland, New York City, Boston, and Berkley. But in the case of Antifa Seven Hills, they believe they’ve got more in common with working-class white Virginians, regardless of their political bent, than they do with many of the moderate Democrats who helped their party win control of the Legislature in November....

I worry more about Conservatives who aren't really Conservatives.
I said it once in another thread, so forgive me being redundant:
It’s will accomplish nothing with everyone out of town, and the city is set up to arrest, defame and fleece the protestors.
Wait for another day and use surprise tactics. Get your people into town before the event on some pretext, like “Downtown Small Business Appreciation Day.” Let people mill around and exchange pleasantries with locals. Don’t state a predetermined time for the convergence. Let someone declare the time via social media. Use the Flash-mob tactic.
They won’t be able to handle and manipulate the event as they have now. It’s a good opportunity to make a positive impression on the locals and make it much harder for the government to smear them.
It was a scorpion and a frog.
This is VICE. If they’re not writing about tranny midget pop singers in Thailand, then they’re writing this BS. Some of their documentaries are okay though.
Perhaps every group attending should display their CCW permits when they meet up. Then they stick together knowing that theyre among the verified good guys.
Somehow, I doubt antifa has CCW permits being that theyre a bunch of criminals.
Just a thought.
EXACTLY!!!
Pelosi just said that Trump wont be reelected.
The left has a plan and I suspect it starts here.
she desperately wants to be the first woman president.
Antifa is Soros bought and paid for, and is in league with this wicked governor of the Old Dominion.
It’s a trap, VCDL! Don’t fall for it.
If you think they are siding with protesters you are a fool.

The narrative that Antifa is suddenly on our side got legs about a week ago in the MSM. It is a sucker play. Antifa is nothing but a bunch of anarchist thugs. To the extent they support the 2nd Amendment, it would only be to retain a means of carrying out war against America.
I can see the headline now “Violence breaks out at pro-gun rally.” “Demonstrators attack police, destroy property”.
The vary a lot in motivations and belief structure.
It is possible this Richmond, VA group are Second Amendment supporters.
This is Richmond, VA, not Portland, OR.
Just because one group of Antifa may support the Second Amendment doesn't mean there won't be agent provacatuers or a false flag operation.
Extreme diligence is warranted.
At this point, it is better for a Second Amendment supporter to be shown as the clear victim on camera, rather than to exercise their rights to self defense.
We have not yet reached the stage where a majority of voters see Second Amendment supporters as the people who occupy the moral high ground.
I think it is close; which is why the opposition is desperate and may use agent provocateurs and false flags.
If guns are banned, Antifa’s trademark mask attire should be forbidden as well. That would go a long way to dampen their aggressive behavior.
Those wacky kids!
I guess theyll stick to the standard, cowardly mob attacks on unarmed individuals?
It was a scorpion and a frog.
Thanks. I knew it was some critters, but I couldn’t remember what.
But what really matters is the punch line: “That’s what scorpions do!”
Anyone thinking about going to Richmond should think about what scorpions, snakes and progressive thugs do.
That was my exact first thought when Clinton closed Pennsylvania ave. If you have reason to fear the people then you are obviously doing something wrong. It is a very clear admission of guilt.
I saw that on Twilight Zone...
Vice sucks these days. It was sold and the politics shifted.
When it started out decades ago it was a different thing.
The real problem conservatives have are the various white supremacists and the Neo-Nazi’s that keep participating in the rallies, trying to pass themselves off as conservatives and ruining whatever point about the 2nd amendment we are trying to make.
To all of the white supremacists out there! We don’t need you, go back to the socialist left from where you came and from where politically you are in agreement with.
