From your link (Peek’s background)....
Andrew L. Peek is the Deputy Assistant Secretary of State for Iraq and Iran in the Bureau of Near Eastern Affairs. Prior to joining the State Department, he was a Fellow at the Clements Center for National Security at the University of Texas while finishing his Ph.D. in international relations under Dr. Eliot Cohen at the Johns Hopkins School of Advanced International Studies. His writing has been published in Foreign Affairs and The Wall Street Journal, among other outlets, and he has appeared regularly to discuss foreign policy issues on television.
Before entering academia, Peek served as a U.S. Army intelligence officer. General David Petraeus requested him personally for his Commanders Initiatives Group in Afghanistan, where he served as the strategic advisor on intelligence and special operations issues for General John Allen, Petraeuss successor. In that role he was Gen. Allens personal advisor for direct action, foreign internal defense, intelligence, and Pakistani aspects of the war. He also advised on the commanders meetings with foreign intelligence agencies, other national representatives, ministerial conferences at NATO, and interagency meetings with the White House. He subsequently served as a reservist with Joint Special Operations Command.
Prior to his service in Afghanistan, Peek served as the national security and foreign affairs advisor for two different U.S. Senators, Gordon Smith of Oregon and Mike Johanns of Nebraska. During the tenure of both, he developed a variety of bills and policy that were voted into law. These included the primary Iran sanctions bill of the 110th Congress, which served as the basis in the next Congress for the most significant sanctions law on Iran in 15 years.
Peek graduated from Princeton with High Honors in 2003 and received a Masters degree from the Harvard Kennedy School in 2005, where he served as a research assistant for Dr. Graham Allisons U.S. Foreign Policy Course. He is a Life Member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars and a former Term Member of the Council on Foreign Relations.
Now Mini Mike Bloomberg is critical of Jack Wilson, who saved perhaps hundreds of people in a Church because he was carrying a gun, and knew how to use it. Jack quickly killed the shooter, who was beginning a rampage. Mini is against the 2nd A. His ads are Fake, just like him!— Donald J. Trump (@realDonaldTrump) January 19, 2020
Excellent graphic.
LOL!! I love it when POTUS calls ‘em as he (and WE) sees ‘em!!
Fake ads....just like Mini Mike...LOLOL.
I have never seen the Republican Party as Strong and as Unified as it is right now. Thank you!— Donald J. Trump (@realDonaldTrump) January 19, 2020
Kill-switch Mitch (one of the replies). Lol!!
Conservative ?
City Bank. Conservative?
Look at others.he has work with in the long ago past?
Thinking out of box
Article said they were investigating the department. Not him.
How does witness protection work. Is he now taken where he can be safe?
Subject: Travel Pool report #5: Mar-a-Lago
Motorcade arrived back at Mar-a-Lago at 12:47. Pool vans peeled off at gate to hold outside.
POTUS tweeted during the journey about how much he was looking forward to this evening’s trip to Austin.
En route, supporters were gathered on the usual corner. Signs reading “Dogs for Trump,” and “NYPD for Trump,” on display. Chants of “Four more years,” could be heard and some thumbs down were directed at press vans.
Subject: Travel Pool report #6: Motorcade
Motorcade is rolling from Mar-a-Lago at 14:34 en route to Palm Beach International Airport for departure to Austin, Tx.
Pool has not yet laid eyes on POTUS today.
Light breeze, blue sky and temperature of 81F.
I remember snow days as a kid. Snow forts. Playing in barn.
Mom fixed something she called sledding soup. It was just a jar of her canned tomatoes soup with butter melted in and garlic powder on top. So simple but so good! Its great made with V8 now warm it in crackpot
Subject: Travel Pool report #7: Palm Beach International Airport
Motorcade arrived at Palm Beach International Airport at 14.44 POTUS climbed stairs and boarded immediately by himself.
A lot more supporters than protesters along the road. Signs included: “Greeks for Trump,” “We love Melania,” and “Fake impeachment.”
Air Force One reg today is 29000.
Wheels up imminently.
A very good article indeed.
So glad the NSA is downsizing, getting rid of the “dead wood” is imperative.
And we know why Obummer bloated it to 450, 450 of his soldiers to spy and leak and accuse.
Will be interesting to see just what is going on here.
Could very well be.
A poster, on another thread, mentioned removing someone from SD is almost impossible....moving them to WH made that much easier.
Whether or not he’s white or black hat.
Wasn’t that 0s army? Those multi-layers within a department - that couldn’t be easily removed?
Wonder if POTUS had chocolate ice cream....at Mar A Lago, or the golf course :-)
Are we seeing anything on Peek in our media or is it just the DM getting ahead of the story?
I don’t always trust the DM.
His background sounds more like a patriot who would willingly go into the swamp to spy on bad guys not the other way around If hes planning on testifying he MUST be protected and his cover not blown until he takes the stand.
The top Russia expert on Trumps National Security Council has left his post, escorted out of the White House on Friday. Andrew Peek is the third departure from the position in less than a year.https://t.co/baSyRDYZ0v— Jennifer Jacobs (@JenniferJJacobs) January 19, 2020
