I don’t remember any of this during the Clinton impeachment. This seems so off.
Trade was the only issue that I was a little apprehensive about with Trump when he was elected. I agreed with him about the lousy trade deals and lost jobs, but, other than lowering taxes and reducing regulations, wasn’t sure what he could do. As usual, he came through!
I always believed in free trade, and the President explains that he does too, but it has to be a level playing field. Reducing taxes and regulations was the carrot, and tariffs are the stick.

I actually thought it might be better if there was a trial, so it would expose the dem corruption. And if I remember correctly, Trump did too, at first. I guess it depends on the Senate bringing in crucial witnesses and allowing Trump to defend himself. I can’t imagine the majority of Republican Senators not allowing a fair trial, no matter what they are quoted as saying. They know President Trump is loved by millions of their constituents.
