As to when it can strike Earth, experts predict that RQ36 may strike the planet in the last quarter of the 22nd century, which is still decades away. Experts predict that it may happen around the years 2175 or 2196.
No problem, according Greta, we have less than 12 years due to Gorebull warming.
Once I found out that the sun will explode in a few billion years I realized that everything was pointless.
Yeah. The birth of Christ is “many decades” in the past.
Tell me when to duck!
Asteroids upon entering the earth’s atmosphere will burn up like the space shuttle Columbia.
Another, the earth is spinning at 1,000 miles per hour orbiting around the sun, if asteroid approaches the earth it would hit the moon that’s why the moon has lots of craters.
Only if the Moon and asteroid are both on the same side of the Earth.................
Okay. 2175 to 2200 is a long way off. But the asteroid weighs 68 million tons and is moving at 63,000 miles per hour. Any solution to this threat may take a long time to develop and implement. The solution also needs to not make the problem worse.
This is complex and may require international cooperation and resources. Where is the dedicated military force needed to coordinate the actions needed to successfully deal with this problem? (And address the many other Near Earth Objects (NEO) that potentially threaten the Earth.)
Oh yeah. It seems that doofus, that bumbling dunderhead Trump has already decided to establish a United States Space Force and it just activated its headquarters.
Guess that’s what happens when you elect a real estate developer to be president: a focus on managing risks to the property, improving its operational efficiency, and both a long and short term concern for retaining and increasing its value.
Yeah, what were we thinking!
< /sarcasm>
The retarded teenager will put a stop to it.
Does this mean we can party like its the end of the world?
“As to when it can strike Earth, experts predict that RQ36 may strike the planet in the last quarter of the 22nd century”
None of us have anything to worry about. I can go back to sleep.
Party like it’s 2199....................
Oh noooooooooo!! TEOTWAWKI for real!! /sarc
Hey, I thought we only had about 11.2 years left anyway?
NASA has a lot in common with race fans — there both waiting for a major wreck and will feel gypped if they don’t get to see at least one.
Then, too...OR NOT.
Do they merely release this speculation as a way to ensure future funding for their BS opinions ?
Every day you breathe you can do that...if you want to do so. America ! !!
The building has a roof height of 1,250 feet and stands a total of 1,454 feet tall, including its antenna.
They aren’t even that close in their size estimate, being nearly 10% out (hey if they can exaggerate, so can I
;Þ
“I’m not worried...AOC says we won’t be here anyway.”
Didn’t hear that prediction, but she’s probably right - I don’t expect to be here in 2175 or 2196, along with most people I know. Nice to see she’s starting to make sense.
Who cares, 11 years til the earth ends from ‘climate change’.
