The impeachment of President Clinton was a bipartisan act. Five Democrats voted to support his impeachment.

Opposition to the impeachment of President Trump was also a bipartisan act. Three Democrats did not support his impeachment.

that's great, but...none of that addresses the question: as of this minute: is he or is he not impeached?

The Constitution does not provide for the process of impeachment.
The Constitution, however, only provides the framework-the basic who’s, why’s, and how’s. The remaining procedural intricacies reside in the internal rules of the House and Senate..

So the prefaced explanation on "The Impeachment Process in a Nutshell" is pretty much crap.
It seems it's whatever the House says the process is, it is...and as we just saw, they violated their own rules.

Seems the Senate should take up the trial as soon as possible. Let the House RATs take it to SCOTUS...if they did, it would seem to be an admission that he's not impeached.

She only mentioned my husbands situation as being common in many people. Strange how things work out. The plumber we hired a couple weeks ago fixed a faucet and pipes...but he also fix something on our sump pump stopping water from coming (backing upward) back into the pump area once on its way out. So basically the pump area was doing what my husband has with his blood.

I really don't see how this helps her. She might be trying to demonize McConnell in the eyes of her base. They already hate "Moscow Mitch". She might also be trying to rally the Dims to take back the Senate.

I hope McConnel will call her bluff & does NOT bend to her will by signalling what kind of trial, if any, he plans on conducting.

Otherwise, her delay will only allow more time for Trump to get out more information, and maybe appeal to the SCOTUS. It will also allow the R's to call her on the sham urgency of impeaching Trump now.
