“Rpt says there was clear abuse of the FISA process.”
YESSSSSS!!
Good for Bill! He is a very knowledgable steadfast reporter. IMO he should have had that slot in the first place. Heard that no one wanted to work with Shep but they all liked to work with Bill.
That sounds like so much more fun than playing with 40 lb of pork butt. What was I thinking?

I’m honestly unconcerned about this. Horowitz is a powerless internal auditor appointed by Obama.
Time for Barr and Durham to wield the battle-axe.
Riding w/hubs to check on cows. He thought it would be a good distraction. 😬
The IG report on the FISA report is only Step One in a process.
His role was to document what happened.
The IG does not prosecute.
Whether his report is complete or not, it is Barr and Durham who have more information and who will connect the dots.
They have the power to arrest, indict and to try.

Durham statement: He does not agree with some of Horowitzs findings. Same as Barr. They have all the investigatory tools, Horowitz does not
GREAT!!!
I’m switching from C-Spam and this farce to FNC.
Thanks for the heads-up.

Steele denied to the IG that he had a relationship with Oleg Deripaska. Yeah, that’s a lie folks.
Got the divinity done. Now on to coconut angel cookies (macaroons). They taken 20 minutes for each dozen to bake. Plenty of time to lurk here.

Predictably, some media allies of Democrats spinning hard. This is what the investigation was about, pg 361:
IG found “numerous serious factual errors and omissions in the FISA applications ... that undercut certain allegations in the applications.”
That, alone, is indefensible
Time for Barr and Durham to wield the battle-axe.
Im thinking they will.
Juan saying no political bias found, and there was cause to investigate campaign.
Got stuck on phone call.

Riding across the property to check on livestock much better choice than watching this ridiculous, unethical, inquisition.
Exactly what Mollie H was saying.
Glad to see that Durham has actually put a statement out.
Durham is stealth.

Will hold a press conference at 4:00 pm in the Senate Radio-TV Gallery on Inspector General Michael Horowitzs report on the DOJ and FBIs conduct during the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act (FISA) warrant process as it relates to the 2016 election.

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Statement by Attorney General William P. Barr on the Inspector General’s Report of the Review of Four FISA Applications and Other Aspects of the FBIs Crossfire Hurricane Investigation
Attorney General William P. Barr issued the following statement:
“Nothing is more important than the credibility and integrity of the FBI and the Department of Justice. That is why we must hold our investigators and prosecutors to the highest ethical and professional standards. The Inspector Generals investigation has provided critical transparency and accountability, and his work is a credit to the Department of Justice. I would like to thank the Inspector General and his team.
The Inspector Generals report now makes clear that the FBI launched an intrusive investigation of a U.S. presidential campaign on the thinnest of suspicions that, in my view, were insufficient to justify the steps taken. It is also clear that, from its inception, the evidence produced by the investigation was consistently exculpatory. Nevertheless, the investigation and surveillance was pushed forward for the duration of the campaign and deep into President Trumps administration. In the rush to obtain and maintain FISA surveillance of Trump campaign associates, FBI officials misled the FISA court, omitted critical exculpatory facts from their filings, and suppressed or ignored information negating the reliability of their principal source. The Inspector General found the explanations given for these actions unsatisfactory. While most of the misconduct identified by the Inspector General was committed in 2016 and 2017 by a small group of now-former FBI officials, the malfeasance and misfeasance detailed in the Inspector Generals report reflects a clear abuse of the FISA process.
FISA is an essential tool for the protection of the safety of the American people. The Department of Justice and the FBI are committed to taking whatever steps are necessary to rectify the abuses that occurred and to ensure the integrity of the FISA process going forward.
No one is more dismayed about the handling of these FISA applications than Director Wray. I have full confidence in Director Wray and his team at the FBI, as well as the thousands of dedicated line agents who work tirelessly to protect our country. I thank the Director for the comprehensive set of proposed reforms he is announcing today, and I look forward to working with him to implement these and any other appropriate measures.
With respect to DOJ personnel discussed in the report, the Department will follow all appropriate processes and procedures, including as to any potential disciplinary action.”
