E.T. is returning to Earth to reunite with his friend Elliot 37 years after the Steven Spielberg-directed film, E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial, was released in 1982. Actor Henry Thomas reprises his role as Elliot alongside the alien character for Comcasts new four-minute ad called A Holiday Reunion.
And the films fans were delighted to have seen some of their favorite scenes reenacted with E.T. and Elliots kids. From John Williams signature score to Reeses Pieces and a Drew Barrymore-esque scream, the footage shows a revamped version of the beloved movie, including a modern take on the iconic bike scene, during which E.T. and the kids ride into the moonlight.

OK kids, I’ll admit it.....I loved ET, I love Heartlight by Neil Diamond, I loved the ET ride at Universal and I’m glad they’re bringing this updated version back......so sue me....LOL
Comcast is evil. They finance and support propaganda.
Tommy’s one of VERY FEW white people on the show
BUT HE OWNS THE SHOW.
He IS the star.
Enjoy! Free on Hulu first 5 seasons. I trialed starz for a week for free just to watch the last season :) then cancelled.
It was a great commercial. I saw it on the Macy’s Parade this morning...
This commercial is WAY BETTER than The Star Wars Holiday Special!
^yeahthat..
Thank you....glad to know I’m not alone........LOL
I enjoyed the ET movie, too and I thought the commercial was cute. Sometimes a person just has to let oneself feel like a kid. I’m an old woman, but never forgot what it felt like to be a kid. And kids tend to like me.

Our son was 8 when ET came out. He made an ET night light in school. It’s ceramic and he did a beautiful job of painting it. I have it in my cedar chest. I’ll never part with it and I’ll come back to haunt him if he throws it away when we’re gone. Those were good times......we were in our 30’s and could enjoy things with the kids (our daughter was 11). I thank God we could take them to Disneyland and I took our grands to DisneyWorld when our son lived in Florida. It brings back good memories of good times when things weren’t so screwed up. You’re one of my own kind PrairieLady2.....keep in touch.....lol
