Utah Senator Mitt Romney argued that flavored e-cigarettes and vaping juices like unicorn poop should be banned because of their attractiveness to children.
President Donald Trump hosted a lively discussion at the White House about the benefits and dangers of vaping flavors. The president spent over an hour listening to supporters for banning vaping flavors as well as vape industry advocates who have sharply criticized the presidents proposed ban.
Senator Mitt Romney participated in the discussion in support of a ban on flavored vaping. He argued that most adults were not using vape flavors, earning a strong reaction from vape industry supporters who disagreed.
Romney noted that flavors like unicorn poop were branded that way to appeal to children.
Utah is a Mormon state, and half the kids in high school are vaping, he warned.
The president, who has clearly been listening to vaping advocates in recent weeks, warned that prohibition could only force people to seek out vaping juices off the street.
They could be selling something on a street corner that could be horrible
they are going to have a flavor that is poison, he said.

Pierre is not a fan of le mairde unicorn?
That meeting demonstrates that Trump is the right person to be President. He brought everyone in. All different perspectives. He let them all argue and debate with the media watching, he listened. Challenged certain assumptions. The right guy.
Beat me to it.
If anyone would know about unicorn poop it would Romney. Because he is full of it.
They’re probably going to ban flavored vape juice except for menthol, to harmonize regulations with cigarettes.
RJ Reynolds and Phillip Morris aren’t happy that Vaping is a loophole outside of the Tobacco Master Settlement.
It is fascinating to watch people who are addicted to a behavior, come to its defense.
Vaping is one of those things that is statistically associated with all the things that are annoying. If you remove the vapers, you remove most of the annoying people.
Where I work, vapers go on the short list of people being led to the door.
How the hell did sh@t Romney ever rise to the position of executive?!? The man sounds bereft of any true leadership capabilities when I hear stuff like this attributed to him. It makes him sound more like some inbred upper class yahoo. Easy enough to believe after he lost to the defecable obama.
He sure was ok with porn in Marriott hotel rooms, when he was on their board.
I agree 100%. The free market used to police itself but apparently that no longer works so the only option left is to make a friggin law. I hate it but I also hate that these businesses prey on the young.
So what's the answer to stop this predatory type business practice?
Nicotine is an incredibly addictive substance I personally had a helluva time kicking. I don't like seeing a new generation being addicted to the new shiny version.
If someone can come up with alternative to making it illegal which will just drive a black market unregulated version of this product; I'm all ears. I 'hear' they are talking about raising the buying age to 21. I doubt that will do much. Kids always find a way to get beer and booze.
I don’t like vaping, it’s a habit I don’t completely understand, inasmuch as I have never smoked. Still, it doesn’t look as stupid to me as young men wearing their “pants on the ground.”
I was able to quit smoking after 40 years with vaping as an alternative. It gave me the ability to gradually decrease the amount of nic. delivered down to the point that I no longer feel like I need it. It has worked for millions of others too.
Big tobacco is behind this smear campaign to eliminate the competition as they realize that an entire generation is turning their backs on cigarettes. They can no longer count on a new crop of consumers, our children to become enslaved. We have broken free from their control of us. And also follow the money in the tobacco settlements and find that some states didn’t want to wait for their money and decided to issue tobacco bonds to spend the money now. Well those bonds are worthless as sales of tobacco products plummet.
Thinking back, there was not a single valid health related problem reported the entire time I have been off cigarettes and vaping until this recent coordinated disinformation campaign began. And then just like clockwork the fake news media all began reading the same talking points and spreading the same false flag info. I would not be surprised to learn that “big tobacco” didn’t make those deadly bootlegged THC vape cartridges and distribute them knowing people would be injured just to create this exact crisis. This is just a new twist on the same old game, false flags and brainwashing the heard.
Wake UP America!

...but then how far are people willing to go?
Consider legalizing drugs now illegal, abortion, smoking now highly regulated, gambling, etc etc. Not to mention...
