No one was talking about the Browns victory but about the teams star defensive player swinging Mason Rudolphs helmet at the quarterbacks head.
A wins a win. I dont think its overshadowed by what happened in eight seconds, Garrett told reporters in the locker room.
Garrett refused to talk about what set him off. Replays showed that Rudolph tried to rip off Garretts helmet before trying to kick him.

Thug.
Dude should stay away from firearms.
“Myles Garrett did not seem immediately to grasp exactly how bad his actions were Thursday night.”
Immediately? Try never grasp.
. ...my guess is he get’s suspended for one full season or one calendar year.
Should be suspended immediately
Fired after investigation/testimony/”due process”
expelled from life from the NFL
But none of that will happen, probably will get a raise and Nike contract
He should get kicked out of the league forever....and arrested for assault and battery.
Just another, non-flattering look for the NFL. The millionaire players seem hell-bent on taking the league down.
Garrett is very talented, no doubt about it. (Which will be why he selfishly hurt his team with his on-field actions).
Only among primadonna NFL players does an act like that fail to result in an arrest. Why should venue matter with assault? (It didn’t occur during play; time was stopped)
I see Freepers commenting on how long the suspension should be, as if they would tolerate somebody in their household doing that: “Hit somebody over the head with a helmet, would you? You’re suspended from my house for two months!”
We have a bunch of overly tolerant football fanatics, it sounds like.
Punishment for penalty....balls squeezed in vice for 10 seconds.
Red flag him!
The Browns are the most penalized team in the league. They released a player before the game for substance abuse. Now this. They’ve got discipline issues ... that starts at the top of the organization.
He was trying to give the guy’s helmet back. Nothing wrong with that.
That was just his way of apologizing for his accidental late hit on the quarterback. /s
Correction: One of the most penalized teams.
> Myles Garrett: I made a mistake <
Here we see more word parsing. A mistake? Does Garrett mean to say he didnt intend to hit Rudolph, and that the contact was accidental?
A stand-up guy would not use a word like mistake. But if Garrett had said anything stronger, I guess his lawyer would have gone crazy. Cant have that happen.
Better legally if Garrett had just said, Some person did something.
at which point he will sign with the Patriots.
Come on! It was just a mistake!!
Arrest his sorry a$$, toss em from NFL, and send him to jail.
And you'll be out for the season and may have felony charges files to remind you to keep your cool.
Reminder:
Garrett fined 3 times already this season, twice for cheap shots on Jets QB Siemian (injury ended his season), and once for punching a tight end after the play was over.
The second guy who pushed Rudolph into the ground should be dealt with MORE severely. Blacks riot. Now wait for the racial angle defending Garrett.
