Exactly my scenario. Very hungry but any food tears me up. Doc apt 4th Dec. hematology. Blood cancer specialist. Don’t think two conditions are related. Need to see a GI specialist

I rarely eat fruit as it is rarely ripe, but that sure does look good.

I haven't been posting lately as things with my husband have been very difficult. The last doctors visit he suggested Hospice, which if my husband chose that, would mean they would NOT treat him for the fact he is losing blood. Nor would they treat him if he gets aspiration pneumonia. Or he could chose to go full bore and go to the Hematologist, Gastrologist, Swallowing therapist. The Gastrologist is to see if the bleeding is coming from his esophagus or colon. I can't imagine him nor I doing the clean out for that process, as he can't get to the toilet on his own. The Hematologist would be to give him Iron Infusions or Blood Transfusions. He has not resigned himself to the fact the doctor said he is dying so he has chosen the later. That means 3 hours each appt; as we have to use Dial-a-ride to go and come back and that is about the time span.

But yesterday was a GREAT DAY. It was my 80th birthday, My youngest daughters and son-in-laws 37th Anniversary, and THANKSGIVING all on the same day. My birthday and daughters anniversary are always on the same day, but Thanksgiving on the same day is only so many years. Plus our first grandson and wife from California came to celebrate with us, and another one of our grandson's (who had disowned me) came and brought his daughter (our great-granddaughter.)

Like my son-in-law always says; "Life Is Good"

That sounds awful Dolly, I’m so sorry to hear it. I’m finally back in the loop but haven’t caught up on how everybody is doing.

I know shingles can be excruciatingly painful. And neuralgia, I had that in my corneas, I would call it a suicidal level of pain. Plus the anemia, you have a difficult combination of conditions! I pray that you end up at a very good doctors.

Happy belated birthday spunky! How exciting that you had three events to celebrate on the same day.

I’m so sorry your hubby is so sick. I know you have been his Rock for quite some time. But it’s stressful for him and for you.

I’m back now, after a bout with corneal neuropathy. Something I wouldn’t wish on my worst enemy. Well, maybe a few liberals.
