Recently I seem to be unintentionally breaking more egg yolks than I did in previous times. I think eggs have changed(that's my position and I'm sticking to it). Even tried a few different brands.
Have any of my fellow egg breakers noticed a change?
Amen to that and good morning, Gran.
At the lake, unpacked and oven on.
Saying prayers for family, for safe travels, here.
Prayers up for all who are traveling, or have family traveling, today.
When do you leave for your lake home or are you already there?
Have a wonderful Thanksgiving with your family.
Most of the time I scramble eggs for omelets. I haven't really noticed breakage when cracking.
Eggs are sold in three grades: AA, A, and B (rare). AA are the freshest, and B the oldest. The older the egg the more likey yolks will break.
Already started in kitchen.
Thank Gid only doing a few things
Cheese balls
Pies
Cookies.
Im started.
Big wind blowing here!
Eggs have much softer shells than they used to. Probably due to the poor care the cooped up chickens have. Of course, their poor care turns into not so nutritious eggs for you and your family.
Hubby and I are here....left in the weeeee hours, this morning.
Getting ready to make the dinner rolls and dressing.
Thank you....love the beautiful gif....that cabin and fire look SO cozy!!
Same to you and yours, Gran. So much to be Thankful for!
Hi bgill!
Eggs from my daughter’s farm are proof of what you said. They are harder to break (sometimes you have to give them two good whacks!) and they don’t fall out of the shell like water. Thicker white and the yolk is more orange than yellow. They run loose at the farm, eating everything. They get lots of scraps. Last year when they got a few pails of the scraps from cutting up and freezing all of the red peppers, the yolks turned RED. It was gross. They said they tasted just fine, but I couldn’t eat them - looked like blood. Yuck.
Just saw where NYC is supposed to have rain and high winds, tomorrow. Parade balloons may be grounded :(
Wish we could share all of our baked goodies, with each other. I made a chocolate pecan pie (keto version), yesterday. Thought of you (since it has no sugar).
Big wind blowing in NYC too.
May have to ground the YUGE balloons in the parade tomorrow.
Sure would be a shame but we don’t want any of the peeps who tether the balloons to the ground as they walk along in the parade to fly off to who knows where and get hurt.
If they are all dims I may reconsider my caring.

Lol
A chocolate pecan pie! WOW!!!
Hubby loves pecan pie and hubby LOVES chocolate.
I will have to ask him if he would like them combined and if so may be begging for your recipe.
Ooh, red eggs and ham.
I can’t do pasanki on the store bought eggs anymore.
We grew up on turkey eggs. Their shells were HARD and the yolks were normally orange-y and the whites were thick. My uncle couldn’t take the color. As kids we’d set the whole in-shell eggs at different angles and let them dehydrate. The yolks would usually stick to the sides of the shell so would weight that side heavier. We’d roll them across the floor and they’d wobble and circle around. Lots of fun. They were so hard that I still have some.
The peppers reminded me of the other day when one of our cats decided to eat a fresh jalapeno. Oh my, he thought it was wonderful. Crazy cat.
Ive noticed that if you boil the eggs for about 5 min, the yolks dont break as easy.
