Q is the result of the sacrifices and commitment of countless patriots to win back our captured country from the Deep State and achieve the transformation President Trump promised in this campaign video. President Trump has said the awakening of the public is key to this transformation.
Q describes this awakening as follows:

When ‘non-dogmatic’ information becomes FREE & TRANSPARENT it becomes a threat to those who attempt to control the narrative and/or the stable.
When you are awake, you stand on the outside of the stable (‘group-think’ collective), and have ‘free thought’.
"Free thought" is a philosophical viewpoint which holds that positions regarding truth should be formed on the basis of logic, reason, and empiricism, rather than authority, tradition, revelation, or dogma.
When you are awake, you are able to clearly see.
The choice is yours, and yours alone.
Trust and put faith in yourself.
You are not alone and you are not in the minority.
Difficult truths will soon see the light of day.

The signs that most of the people waved were signs that had been passed out by the republican party volunteers. There were only 2 versions that I saw. The Trump 2020 (in red or blue) and the Keep America Working (white) signs.
Trump-Pence, was well represented with the shirts, flags, banners and other signs that people brought, wore and displayed. I am one that is not at all concerned about the lack of visibility being given to Pence’s name at this time. Pence is doing what good VPs do, not taking thunder away from the President. But supporting the President, and the party, to the world... Cheers, all.

I can’t answer to the why. I will say that I love the playlist for the music that was played. The doors opened around 3 pm, so we had close to 4 hours inside the arena. And the music that they played kept you high in spirit.
With the attitude of many music artists, I suspect that if the Trump folks listened to all their whining about their music being associated with the campaign, we would be forced to a very short list of approved songs. I counted 7 different Elton John songs and 5 different Rolling Stones songs... I imagine neither are happy about that. So, for me, I don’t care about the why... I am just happy that they do it. Musicians should stick to music, because they suck at picking their politicians. Cheers.
