Subject: WH Travel Pool 1 — departure from Andrews

Marine 1 set down on a warm and breezy tarmac at Joint Base Andrews at 1608. The helicopter rolled to a stop a couple of hundred feet ahead of the parked Air Force 1 jet, and the president emerged from the forward door a few minutes later.

He walked to the forward boarding stairs of the plane, waving to the press ahead of the port wing but not taking questions. He climbed the stairs, waved in the direction of the terminal and stepped aboard at 1613.

The pool is being rushed aboard and we should be airborne shortly.
We are aboard the smaller of the two planes typically used as Air Force 1, a modified Boeing 757, as the runways at Morristown, N.J., are not long enough to accommodate the large plane.
Flight time to Morristown should be less than an hour.

Air Force 1 touched down at Morristown Airport at 1708 following an uneventful 44-minute flight. No visits from POTUS or senior staff.

The president stepped out the forward door, climbed down the stairs and walked to board an awaiting helicopter. At 1722, this second Marine 1 was aloft and bound for Trump National Golf Club, Bedminster, the president’s private, for-profit resort.

On the flight, as well as accompanying the president on the helicopter, was Dan Scavino. Your pooler did not notice any other top aides.

The pool was led to vans for the drive to a nearby hotel.

The White House press office informed the pool that the president arrived at Bedminster at 1738.
There is nothing further on the president’s public schedule today.
Your pooler notes that the sun does not set here until 2011. Pool has inquired whether the president intends to play golf this evening, and will pass along any response.
At 1750, pool was given a travel/photo lid for the day.
