The executive director of the House Democrats’ campaign arm is stepping down amid an outcry from Democratic lawmakers over the lack of diversity in the committee’s senior ranks.
Executive Director Allison Jaslow, a close confidante of Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee Chair Cheri Bustos, announced her resignation at an all-staff meeting Monday, according to multiple sources. Jaslow said her resignation is effective immediately.
“The DCCC is now in complete chaos,” Gonzalez and Vela said in their statement. “The single most immediate action that Cheri Bustos can take to restore confidence in the organization and to promote diversity is to appoint a qualified person of color, of which there are many, as executive director at once. We find the silence of the Congressional Hispanic Caucus on this issue to be deafening.”

Prayers needed again. I think my husband has developed another urinary track infection. To weak to get up and I couldn't help him. Very little urine put out, but very loose bowels. Temperature 101* I called the doctor, but of course he is off today. I also put a call into the Palliative Care Nurse. So waiting for the doctors nurse and the Palliative Nurse to call back. I am pushing fluids and gave Tylenol. I am hoping they will prescribe an antibiotic and not insist I take him to urgent care as I CAN'T. Pray for me also please, I am just about at my wits end.
So much for having taken him out this weekend. :-(

Bawhahahaha!!! They are getting caught up in their own petard, love it!!!
FTA:Bustos held a tense call with staffers on Saturday before deciding to fly back and address the committee in person on Monday. On the call, Bustos “briefly” apologized for offending people by describing her husband and children as being of “Mexican descent” and announced she will undergo diversity and inclusion training in the coming weeks, according to multiple sources.

Am ambulance? Or better yet a med taxi. Our nursing homes have vans also used by our senior centers. They help lots.

I’ve seen numbers of single women households with children that just had help with daycare, got a promotion with more pay, and suffered because they couldn’t make ends meet.
My daughter didnt want any help with daycare. There were times when they hardly had anything to eat. I don’t like welfare, but I told her that she is working and paying for everything else, just take advantage of it. She did, and was even crying about the fact she would now have a few bucks to spend on necessities.
She now makes too much money to qualify for any help, but they are all fine now.
Another thing, some States make it so hard to even care for children, unions, colleges, etc., some women can’t afford it. When my boys were young a grandma took care of them along with a couple of hers. She was great, without government intervention.
