So let’s see you produce evidence to back Rusty’s claim: “P.S. everyone hated LBJ, he being a racist was only one reason.”
No one was calling Johnson a racist then. Maybe a few Marxist radicals but no one else was. That claim sounds like the virtue signalling make believe that Dinesh is peddling.
And Republican liberals and moderates not only didn’t hate Johnson, some of them openly supported Johnson over conservative Republicans. Senator Tom Kuchel being a classic example.
“Although he was the Republican whip in the Senate from 1962 to 1966—the second most powerful Senate leadership post in his party—Kuchel refused to endorse four leading Republican candidates for public office in those years: Richard M. Johnson succeeded in passing his legislation thanks to his anti-conservative GOP buddies.

Did anyone see Tucker’s report & interview with LA Sen Kennedy regarding the First Step program? It turns out that over half of the first 2,000 people release are NOT low-level offenders. 239 were in for sex crimes & 59 were in for violent assault.
Not good, as they are preparing to release another 3,100 soon.

Do you think Trump was aware of the way the bill was written or did he just trust that it would only be those who were not violent offenders that would be released?
