Employees of the Boston-based online furniture company Wayfair are set to walk out Wednesday in protest of the company’s decision to continue supplying furniture to migrant detention centers.

Organizing under the newly formed group, Wayfair Walkout, workers are demanding the e-commerce furniture giant cease all current and future business with contractors operating detention centers and establish an ethics code that “empowers employees to act in accordance with Wayfair’s core values.”

The group sent a letter to the company’s leadership last week, signed by 547 employees, calling for the end of operations that furnish detention centers.

“We believe that the current actions of the United States and their contractors at the Southern border do not represent an ethical business partnership Wayfair should choose to be a part of,” the letter said. In the message, employees said the company recently fulfilled an order of bedroom furniture worth $200,000 to be sent to a facility in Texas housing migrant children and operated by BCFS, a non-profit government contractor that manages detention camps.

So, they would rather the detainees in the 'nazi concentration camps' sleep on the ground then? Perhaps Wayfair will have some job openings tomorrow afternoon.

That's my take on this too. What other thoughts could one have? These employees must hate illegals.

My thoughts exactly. Since we see the narrative about concentration camps gaining traction, why would they not want to do something to make these camps more humane, per their own criteria????

Fire all 547 employees. And replace them with what?

That's right illegal immigrants.

Oh the irony.

Fire every one of em and then hire someone that wants to work.
Plenty of college kids looking for summer jobs.

[ Wayfair workers to walk off job to protest furniture sales to migrant detention centers ]

Well, we wouldn’t want our company to have money to pay, like you know, our salaries or anything.

This is not like Hugo Boss supplying uniforms to the SS, liberal snowflakes.

Obviously, their furniture sucks and they don't want to subject the shiny eyed new arrivals to it.

This could be construed as tortuous interference of commerce. The employees could be sued under some of what the plaintiffs in Gibson Bakery V Oberlin used.

If they really believe in what they wrote they will not only walk off the job but resign their positions and engage in self flagellation for several weeks to atone for their past work at the company.

Hang on a sec. The owner (can I say that?)/ceo is on board but the shop folks are not since they want the concentration camps closed. I can only think because they want to invite these poor folks to come to Boston and take up residence in the Wayfair workers home. Si? :-)

Isn't it completely possible that a lot of their jobs are being given to illegals because they'll work for less money? I'd resent that, too.

I wonder just how many of that 547 are illegals.

Walk-offs are chicken sh!t antics for virtue-signaling dummies who know their jobs are not in any kind of jeopardy.
