FULL TITLE:
Volodymyr Zhukovskyy, Massachusetts driver involved in New Hampshire crash that left 7 people dead, arrested on negligent homicide charges
==================================================================
The driver involved in a New Hampshire crash that left seven motorcycle riders dead was arrested at his Massachusetts home Monday.
Volodymyr Zhukovskyy, 23, was arrested on a fugitive from justice charge by Massachusetts State Police troopers at 90 Newbridge St. in West Springfield, according to New Hampshire authorities.
An arrest warrant was issued in New Hampshire Monday, charging Zhukovskyy with seven counts of negligent homicide.
The charges are in connection with the horrific crash Friday in Randolph, New Hampshire.
Massachusetts State Police said troopers also located in the defendants residence wax packets containing a residue suspected of being heroin." He has not been charged with a drug offense at this time, but authorities will test the residue at the State Crime Lab, state police said.
If the residue tests positive for drugs, Zhukovskyy will face charges, state police said.
A husband and wife from Lakeville, Massachusetts, were among the seven people killed in the Friday night crash.
Joanne and Edward Corr, both 58, of Lakeville, who were riding together on one bike died in the crash that took the lives of seven members of the Jarheads MC, a motorcycle club made up of U.S. Marine Corps veterans and their spouses, said Jane Young, New Hampshire Deputy Attorney General. false

Two of the seven lived in Massachusetts. The others lived in Maine and Rhode Island.
Two people from Massachusetts, Joshua Morin, 45, of Dalton, and Steve Lewis, 58, of Brimfield, were also injured in the crash. They are both expected to live.
Four people from New Hampshire and a Rhode Island man were also identified as those killed in the crash.
A GoFundMe account was started to help the families.
The motorcycle riders were struck by a pickup truck towing an empty trailer.
Coos County Attorney John McCormick said Zhukovskyy was driving a black 2016 Dodge 2500 pickup truck with an attached trailer designed for carrying cars. He was traveling west and the motorcyclists were traveling east on Route 2 Friday night.
Zhukovskyy, who works for Westfield Transport in Springfield, told WMUR in a telephone interview that, "It was a big tragedy and Im trying to process this with my family. 10
Oh, man. I am retired now, but a few years ago I worked on a similar case involving a Russian driver who killed several people; he was inattentive and ran his rig into a line of cars on the highway. Bad shit.
A lawyer for the driver of a pickup truck in a crash that killed seven motorcyclists in New Hampshire says his client denies being intoxicated when he was charged with drunken driving in Connecticut last month.
Volodymyr Zhukovskyy was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs on May 11 in a Walmart parking lot in East Windsor, Connecticut.
Connecticut prosecutors say he was arrested May 11 in an East Windsor Walmart parking lot after failing a sobriety test. Officers had responded to a complaint about a man who was revving his truck engine and jumping up and down outside the vehicle.
Additionally, Zhukovskyy was arrested on a drunken driving charge in 2013 in Westfield, Massachusetts, state motor vehicle records show. He was placed on probation for one year and had his license suspended for 210 days, The Westfield News reported.
Russkie?
They let him go. It simply means he resides in a different state from where the crime was committed. Or thats what I read in another news story about this case.
There are entirely too many pickup truck + auto rack combos being operated by folks trying to evade CDL requirements.
Pennsylvania is really cracking down on these bandits.
I understand the concern with large trailers being pulled by pickup trucks, often they seem to be used with a heavier load than is reasonable.
I was going to post something to that effect.
3 out of 4 car haulers I’ve used were Eastern European, or Russian. (hard to tell)
Unfortunately license class rating is almost exclusively based on weight.
There should be some accounting for the length of the trailer as well.
Here is their tweet:
NTSB is sending team to motorcycle-truck crash near Randolph, NH, to conduct safety investigation. Team will coordinate with local authorities who are doing their own investigation.

Thanks, I saw that!
Explains bugger all, though.

Perp has a history of driving while impaired. Looks like state/s did nothing about the perp and/or perp's employer. And if the perp's an illegal with a record...

If I were a family member of one of those vics, I'd be livid...
Yep, another foreign import...Like Trump said, we really need to end this destructive, reckless chain immigration.
