A Texas City woman said she was hurt and ashamed after being ordered to leave a city pool Sunday for breastfeeding her baby. Misty Daugereaux said she was nursing her 10-month-old son Maxx at the Nessler Family Aquatic Center.

As I said, she of course shouldn’t have been expelled if it was legal.
But I still don’t think she should have been doing that there.
One thing I have noticed-as has my cub-is how so many millennials were obviously not taught what my mom used to call “plain country manners” by their parents-but at the same time expect others to be totally PC and not call their attention to that lack of manners, no matter what they do. They seem to think that as long as the law allows something in a broad category-like the law discussed here-they can perform that act or function without exhibiting proper manners or restraint of any kind-laws aren’t a replacement for manners...
And the police certainly aren’t around to regulate manners as long as the law is being obeyed-they should have just said sorry, this is between the pool manager and the woman and went on about their real job-the cops don’t have to get into everyone’s business...

I do not see that it has much to do with Texas law, abortion Is legal in many states but does
that mean that the manager of a city pool have to let it happen in the pool?.

She was IN the pool feeding her child? That’s gross. May as well feed him while chilling on the toilet. There is no reason she needed to feed her child in the pool. Does she feed her older child Doritos in the pool? There is a time and a place for eating.”
The child was ten months old and not really an infant. The child would have been having some solid food for abut six months so nursing would not be urgent. She could have brought some sliced banana or somesuch to feed by the side of the pool. Being an exhibitionist herself, she probably plans to have the kid hanging off her boob in public until he’s four or so.
There is a crude black joke from when I worked in the ghetto that I will not repeat about 16 year olds and their mommas.
I don’t particularly care what she’s doing. What I care about is her getting offended and starting to yell out loud. The same mentality that sees women swarm to her in defense of her right to be out there nursing any ole way she wants, would immediately focus on me.
I would be the “predator” that got reported. None of the women, the staff, or the responding officers would see me as a guy who wasn’t doing something wrong. The reporting by the woman would be embellished beyond belief to justify her stance, and shut me up.
This sort of thing could go on my record. It could somehow get back to my work. Women at work could take up the mantle of this woman and make trouble there.
Any thought that I might have ever done anything inappropriate there would be confirmed at once.
I could lose my position there, and have that on my record as well, perhaps even a “for cause” termination.
If his got back to my church, I could be seen as a suspect there.

If a woman starts to breast feed in front of me, I pick up and leave. She has rights, and mine stop where ever she says they do.
If you want to breast feed in public please let the other boob out so we can have an unobstructed view.
