I have been working on a knowledge base of topics related to prepping and SHTF situations. It is geared towards making people more self sufficient with topics ranging from unarmed self defense to small space gardening to how to sew your own clothes. I'm one of those types of people who believe that we are going to go out with a whimper, not a bang, so there is a lot of content on how to do your own repairs, build your own stuff and live a more frugal lifestyle. In order to get access you need to send me a PM then I will give you a link and an access code. Once you're in you can find a directory list in each folder. You can download 1 file or everything there in one big zip file. You would need to have some basic book readers, all which can be found for free. It's been up and running for a few months now and plenty of people have visited it and lived to tell the tale :-) If you're interested send me a PM and I will send you the link and crypto key.
A couple of weeks ago I had a serious computer crash, bad enough for me to have to get a new computer. Just yesterday I got back to the point where I can start doing updates again. This didn’t affect the Knowledge Base at all, just my end, but I haven’t been adding anybody or any new content. It’s all better now :-)
If any existing KB users have any suggestions on more content send me a PM and I’ll see what I can do.
At the risk of sounding unbelievably ignorant, what is a “pm”?
Bump

A PM is a Private message/Private reply...
After the SHTF there may be no access to the internet. A lot of preppers have strongly advised collecting all your survival data in books and other hard copy media, just in case there's no power, etc.
The best place for the knowledge base, is inside your head.
Thanks! You have an incredible amount of Prepper related info on your site. Thanks for sharing with us.
I highly recommend all Freepers spend a little time there and see what all is available. It is a treasure trove of prepper material!
And the best way to do that is to practice.
Get a short wave radio and a direct injection diesel vehicle, and a manual generator, and you have started prepping. No credible scenario that preppers consider has gasoline and internet.
With out instantly available modern medicine and a ER.
Many well die.
That was brought home to me in the last month and half where I was hospitalized 3 times.
Had led a very healthy life for 0ver 60 years then bang.
Take care and prepare I have but some things are out of our control.
Private Message.
That's why we call it prepping. Once the Internet goes the ones who didn't prep won't have access to this material.
Thank you for all of the hard work you have done to put this together.
For those who have not seen Oshkalaboomboom’s work, you should take a look at the vast library he has put together.
That got me thinking... Id suggest that all things are out of our control. Part of every prep plan should be getting oneself straight with the man upstairs.
And best of luck to you with your health issues.
So vast that I'm actually running out of ideas so any suggestions or links are welcome via PM.
bkmk

Here’s a tactic to write about and explore:
How do you and your family of four patrol your 20 acre SHTF compound 24/7/365 to keep out the bad guys?
Reality check,
Glad you are Okay,
I’ve been there too.

Sorry to hear of your need for hospitalization. I’m 77 and fortunately have been hospitalized for only one night when a young woman, while texting, hit me head-on and totaled my car. However, for the past month I’ve been medicated for bronchitis that doesn’t go away, and a week ago my left knee started causing me serious pain. Adjustment to old age is beginning to depress me!
